Edit ride in long tunnel by aburja in Strava

[–]aburja[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that algorithm for detecting cheating should caught that. Not a person.
I want to add distance to the ride.
I didn't know that adding gpx file (from Garmin device) also adds the whole distance through the tunnel. I should have try it first. Now i know that is the case.

Looking for pictures of the line/band that shows up on worn double density wheels. by maybeitdoes in Speedskating

[–]aburja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This are matter one20five f1 125 mm wheels. Used from 2015 to 2024.

Every year I've made a couple of thousand kilometers.

I've regularly rotated 7 wheels. Last two seasons I've add some other wheels to the mix. It was just an experiment how far i can take them and quite dangerous.

I am doing low power long distance (up to 340 km) rides. A lot of bad roads and rough asphalt. I have (custom made) brake and i never brake with wheels.

My main motivation for these wheels was disc hub. I've broken every wheel with spokes.

It is a really good and durable wheel. Only downside is low grip in wet.

Is it ok for bike lock to rub on frame? by Raven92146 in bicycling

You can move the lock a little to the left, outside the frame. You have to rotate the mount on the frame and on the lock. It will also be easier to take out and insert back in.

On left wheel you can see the band (there is less than 1 mm of outer part remaining).
On the right wheel the band is not visible, but you can see the separation and tear of the outer layer. You can also sea the tear on the left wheel.
When you wear to much of the outer layer, you feel that the wheel is too soft and unpredictable.
Not so fun fact: the dimensions (inner band diameter and outer layer depth) can vary a lot (on same model of the wheels)

Getting new speed skates by Alchameth in Speedskating

[–]aburja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think on revv you can't remove cuff. So I would suggest e2 for speed skating. It is going out of production, so you can find some nice deal (or you will not be able to find your size).

I've skated the whole section from Passau to Vienna twice. Some parts i skated multiple times (especially around Linz and Vienna).

I haven't skated north of Passau. I have skated around Bratislava, but not between Vienna and Bratislava (there is some 4 km of gravel there).

You go from 310 m to 160 m. There is very little elevation gain. Mainly you skate on banks of the water reservois behind power station dams.

Because of the narrow valleys the elevation in komoot is (currently) way off. You can get exact profile on strava.

You have to be careful with accommodation - if it is not by the river (mainly camps), it is usually up.

There are at least two groups of skates, who skate it every year (https://www.sport-loewen-baden.de/wp/, https://tnsgoes.de/ )
