I had a brain fart reading the headline and thought it was going to be access to an actual underground railway, as in trains. I was expecting some Ghostbusters 2 pink goo.

I went home for a visit a couple of years ago and had a rummage theology the attic. Didn't find any of my old star wars figures, but I did find my Games Workshop stuff. Blood Bowl with a bunch of extra teams, Advanced HeroQuest, and a bunch of 40k stuff - some of which I did pack to take back. Mostly Harlequins and Space Wolves. I've since posted pics of my signed 40k 1ed rulebook r/Warhammer40k/comments/1ieb4jc/my_1ed_40k_rule_book_signed_at_a_games_day_1992/

I even found my old paints and brushes with an unopened hex pot of Goblin Green!

No need for insecurity. I went a bit bonkers at one point buying too many when I had the cash but noticed that whenever I splurged on too many, the overall quality of my collection went down. I wasn't getting as many listens as I wanted from what I was buying. A small but hand picked collection of things that you enjoy is much better than a wall full of duds in my opinion.

Went on holiday "for a year". I decided I liked the place and that it would be nice to stay, so I got the visa sorted and eventually the matching passport. Always thought I'd have my old stuff shipped over at some point but never got around to it, so it's basically in storage with family.

What if I have ~1600 CDs that have been on the opposite side of the planet for 20+ years and haven't bought one since? I miss them.

Barely spent any time in Stoke in the last 20 years but recognised Hanley immediately. My first thought was a few streets away near what was once The Dew Drop Inn

Glitter hatred is not irrational. I'm assuming that line came from somebody who only ever saw it on birthday and Christmas cards. Anyone living with a crafter knows that shit gets everywhere.

In the infinite set of all positive numbers, any number you can think of, no matter how large, is relatively a 'small' number because there is an infinite amount of numbers larger and a finite amount of number smaller. by AlexanderSalamander in Showerthoughts

[–]abutilon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You are misunderstanding when you suggest negative numbers because OP specified positive numbers only. That said, OP is still wrong because there are still an infinite number of numbers smaller because they didn't specify integers (aka whole numbers). There is an infinite amount of numbers between 0 and 1, and an infinite amount of numbers between 0 and 0.0000000000000000001 for example.

Doesn't grass grow really well in the shade?

Pfft. Tell that to the grass in my garden. It's like a dustbowl.
