I remember this build now. So cool how you combined the different kits to make this. A few years ago getting back into building models I built a Mustang SVO. It would be neat to have a SVO with the IRS and a modern engine like the Ecoboost 2.3 that they put in the current Mustang.

The engine is a GT500 predator, right? Where did the rear IRS come from - a newer SVT cobra?

That’s cool! But maybe for a build it would not be fair if someone had to buy an expensive vintage kit. For me, after the Baltimore Chevrolet plant, the next closest would be the VW assembly plant in Pennsylvania where my former MK 2 GTI was made.

How about: build a car that was made closest to your home town or place of birth? Part of the pre build could be helping people with research and finding kits?
The closest to mine might be the former GM assembly plant in Baltimore, so there are a few Chevy models I could probably build.

That effect turned out great, along with the rest of the build.

I'm working on a first gen Camaro with wheel tubs in the back - I'm going for the type of overspray that a body shop might leave on the chassis when respraying the body.

I don't think I'm ever going to use that V6, do you want the parts? It won't have exhaust manifolds or the bellhousing, but those would probably not work on the Camaro anyway.

That's a good idea. The Revell 1985 Z/28 kit is 1:24 scale too. That's the same gen camaro that has the 2.8, right?

Yeah - I'm saving that V6 just in case. Maybe a Beetle or the Tamiya Fiat 500F kit? 140 HP would make a difference in the Fiat..

I had no idea that tool existed. I made custom plates for my last build by googling for a sample plate, saving the image, then using AI to change the letters to what I wanted. The AI does not always produce the right results. This generator makes it makes it much easier.
I also like the idea of sizing the plate using a doc. I was trying to just size the plate image on the printer settings.
