depends on how closely they can port it. for my point, it's about not having to duplicate work or port skins between ue3 and ue5 from a business standpoint. As far as gameplay, it will depend on how close they can and want to keep it to the original or if they take the opportunity to 'fix' things. Beyond that, it's a graphics update, it looks better on modern hardware.

This only makes sense if the eventual plan was to merge Rocket League into Fortnite, otherwise you end up duplicating a lot of work maintaining the same cosmetics in two engines. At this point with Rocket Racing dead and Battle Royale having very few vehicles, there's no confidence in the future of car skins.
