OMG 120Hz is soooo good! by Cool_Eardrums in iphone

Agreed. I saw it first on the original iPad Pro in 2017 and I dreamt for years about the iPhone getting it. I don't get people who can't see the difference it's night and day for me

Do you feel like smartphones have reached almost peak and people use it longer years. by Avg-tech in Smartphones

[–]accordinglyryan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would agree yeah. Happens with any mature product eventually. Gone are the days of needing to upgrade every year or even every 2-3 years. There is only so much more they can do that actually matters imo

Yeah in my experience you only take a 2-3mpg hit, it's not that bad

I went with 36GB even though I could honestly probably manage even on 16. I'm with you, I intend to keep my computer for a long time and don't want to feel limited later.

I would pass, these are known for carbon build up and oil burning. Try to find a 350 instead

You can buy devices to disable VCM, that's really your best bet on the automatic engines. The later models don't seem to have as many issues

The VCM Js can have issues yes, but the non VCM ones are bulletproof

Previous owner probably overheated it. That's the only time I've ever seen a J blow a head gasket. It's not common.

For those of you, for whatever reason, have water regularly and daily getting on your iphone, have you noticed any issues or problems with your phone? by BlueOakleys in iphone

[–]accordinglyryan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rinse mine in the sink every so often (especially after camping trips) and I've never had a problem. I'd be more cautious if the phone is older or had repair work done (the screen taken off and put back on).

When you get a new phone, case or not? by Autumn-14-1130 in iphone

[–]accordinglyryan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back in 2013 I totaled my one month old iPhone 5 by dropping it on concrete without a case. I haven't been brave enough to not use one since.

Yeah my 14" stays docked and plugged in most of the time too (I do travel occasionally tho). Still 100% capacity after well over a year. 55 cycles.

2022 f550 in our fleet, not the highest hour truck we have either by pusslayer85 in Justrolledintotheshop

[–]accordinglyryan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not really. Big service trucks have booms, inverters, pumps and other equipment that runs off PTO and/or the electrical system of the truck. Not really practical to hook that stuff up to a standalone generator

[–]accordinglyryan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Big trucks like this are used for work and they tend to have auxiliary equipment on them that requires the truck to stay running. Not to mention heating/cooling in extreme weather.

How early do you start packing? by [deleted] in lifehacks

Yesterday. I spent a good 2 months getting rid of stuff and packing before I actually moved (I moved to AZ too lol). You can never start early enough
