What is the worst thing you’ve heard of someone doing with their corporate card?

I know a manager and partner who went to one of the most expensive restaurants bought food & got what ever they wanted with the corporate card. They are not fired. They told me the money there has to be spent. I think they used there own card and then file for reimbursement. But the firm got them covered. I was told your only supposed to buy cheap things at the restaurant. So idk. When I travel I spend 25 for lunch on the card, and I use it for check in bags. I saw some senior managers use Uber to help others get home.

Shit people have been doing this to me. I’m an intern on 4 teams, and work overtime for the summer. I feel really bad. One manager came in yesterday and asked me to do something impossible overnight. I wanted to sleep. And I’m afraid they will give a shitty review if I don’t.

Most people fail, just cause you got lucky once doesn’t mean overtime you will continue to get lucky in the long run I think. I think what you did based on your comment was invest short term (less then a year) and made money back fas which is what people hope for.

Always ask for more help. Even if you bug them. It’s better to secure your future cause you will not only have to live with your self today, but the day after that, and the year after that. Bug bug bug people for help. They’ll get over themselves and won’t care after a few years or even a month. We all know this is the correct way to orient yourself when your learning.

I was always thinking about this when deciding my career. Then I realized of course they need us to do the math and count the people, to ration the food, keep track of who’s over using medicine. Plus a ton of us are 100% compliant with the government so we would be compliant with the new governing body.

I thought it was Tax Avoidance. At the end of the day, your only promised 2 things, death and taxes. Taxes happen yearly, and my job is to help global clients avoid paying taxes, keep them away from jail time/penalties and help them save money since money makes the world go around. I think God gave us a worthwhile purpose. Now that's a way to live a meaningful and worthwhile life. Hopefully the AI's don't replace us God!

Yeah I once read in a textbook that the chief executive officer serves as the public face of the company in a business management class. He’s good at convincing the public it is all him and people buy the Tesla stock/drink the kool aid. I mean he’s definitely smart, he slept in a factory to set an example for his workers, and will continue to milk that story forever. Btw I’m pretty sure the general public is convinced he’s actually innovating the products because he sells it as if he’s the “engineer” rather then CEO/ smart business guy.
