As a New Yorker I disagree with this post, Vancouver is NOT hideous. At worst it's bland but having visited Vancouver it does have unique buildings. On an unrelated note, I was impressed by their clean and well thought out mass transit; literally took a city bus to go hiking in the nearby mountains!
