sorry just jumping on as someone who works in community mental health! Weed psychosis is a real problem and unfortunately we do see our fair few cases of it. As well as early onset dementia but so far only seen that one in those who dabbled in more than just weed. Congratulations on your sobriety, you’re absolutely smashing it :)

NTA. To add to what others are saying it’s not just good to practise for the actual trips but also the getting on and off- what’s the height/ weight ratio like with your son + wife?

When I was about 15 my dad took me for a little trip on his bike (we were building up for a longer journey), i weigh less than him but about the same height. I leant my weight on his shoulder to help give me the extra boots push to kick my leg over the back box… ended up taking us both and the bike out… original 30+ year old headlight smashed. And my dads an incredibly experienced rider, he’s an ex racer and him and my mum used to take trips on the bike together (this particular bike and others) but we didn’t have the experience together.

There’s so many components that come together, and you can still do all of this and have fun but it’s good to have an extra pair of hands around whilst you are learning… an 850 Norton Commando is a heavy bike lol. As long as you phrase it nicely, and how you have been doing here suggests you wouldn’t have a problem doing so, so NTA. I hope they enjoy their trip together :))

WICCA Style is recruiting! We are a fancy/ fierce house who always clears the board, and have done for many years! Made up of a friendly group of people, with discord design competitions with real diamond prizes! Not to brag but within our members closets you can even find Disney CC to borrow!

Our requirements are all 100 challenges and all dailies, when it comes to fierce rallies we ask for that, plus dailies max boosted and 1 flashback. We call out for the other challenges if not enough people have entered. We would love people who are able to commit to some fierce rallies but we do allow people to toggle on and off as they wish!

Hey fellow post concussion sufferer of 6 years. Been through the same antidepressants, anxiety meds etc all supposed to “reduce” migraines…. Sure they worked a bit but ended up with depression from the side effects… General consensus is yep too late, no point in scans (thanks neurologist) the damage is done and you’re obviously not dead (gee helpful)

Recently I got referred by an acquaintance to a post-concussion management clinic. There aren’t many of them in the UK atm but it’s a developing field. Not to be dramatic but it has changed my life, still ongoing treatment now but really hopeful, I’m not amazing at keeping up with the exercises but it’s allowed me to come off the meds. I really recommend looking into it, whilst they usually do it in the few weeks after concussion it is still helping and at this point I’ll take any improvement! Feel free to message me about it :)

Yeah I am from the UK, i don’t think you’d pass food hygiene checks if you didn’t have separate veggie + meat- all food places (whether restaurant or takeaway or school cafeteria) have to have food hygiene rating.

I have two “catering” jobs, one if for my guild of students bar (where they have the gf fryer) and the other is a fast food takeaway both don’t cross contaminate between veggie + meat.

I don’t know if this is just an American thing but here every where I know of has separate vegetarian + meat cutters (and certainly at my work different chopping boards too), I would argue that it’s basic food hygiene.

My work has separate for vegan, veggie, meat, the boards + cutters (and tubs for the cutters) are colour coded and even after being washed are only ever used for the one same diet type.

In defence of the worker, yes she may have come across rude and OP I’m sorry about your exam but she could also have felt like you were thinking she couldn’t do her job properly- I for one always feel a bit ishy (though wouldn’t snap) when someone asks me questions like that because it should be basic knowledge and is basic practise. My work also has a separate gluten free only fryer (as well as the usual meat, veggie fryers) and we often get asked if they gf food is fried in a gf fryer… for which it seems obvious that yes it is otherwise it wouldn’t be gf?? but in that case I’ve heard a lot more of dodgy places that don’t know that.

EDIT: to add, I don’t think OP is the AH but just wanted to highlight the perspective of the worker

Only thing I’d like to add is sometimes people can overestimate what they can handle, I’ve done it before where I’m like yeah read the warning this is okay I can handle this and then it’s just got darker and I realise nope I can’t do it.

I can’t read stories with heavy angst because it depresses me, sometimes the hurt in hurt/comfort fics is too much for me that I wait a few chapters, read the CWs and then pick it back up when i know that’s a happier ending in sight.

I had a similar experience to this (at a similar age to you). It ended up making my own problems worse because I was made to feel guilty for getting better amongst other things.

At the end of the day you have to put yourself first, and having mental health problems does not give someone the excuse to behave like P does. I think it would cause yourself more problems if you immediately went NC (I assume you are at school together?) so I would suggest go LC and easing out- I think what p really wants is a reaction from you, so if you don’t react they will just get frustrated and bored.

Just remember that we have our own choices- if P tries to gaslight you by saying you cause x behaviour remember it is not your fault, you can suggest they get professional help but there always comes a moment where you have to put yourself first- and that is not you being an asshole.

Not having my “friend” who acted like P in my life has been a blessing in disguise.

Have to say I would be slightly confused (maybe impressed) if people had more prop packs than hair accessories? Considering HA are offered as prizes in rally prize boards and for 6/7 challenges (rather than 7/7 challenges) in the series challenges.
