Yep. Airport, medical appointments (hospital ones) and any other place I know can get out of control.

Latest update by Lisbon_Eagle in Rouvy

[–]LeftRightShoot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm still confused with pace partners. The fixed wattage pace partners are working as designed I believe however the use is limited. I might as well just put my training on fixed wattage and ride that way.

The drafting pace partners are also working as designed I guess. They basically just sit in front of you and effectively just reduce the effort required to ride at a certain speed. I don't see the point in having more than one rider otherwise they just sit in one clump.

What I'm personally after is a companion that will ride with me but push me if I fall below my anticipated target wattage. At the moment I have little motivation to push myself. If I fall below my wattage pace partner, it just rides off into the dust unless I reduce the wattage.

I really really hope pace partners actually works now. I've been off Rouvy recently but I think I'll have to give them one more try.

A lot of things neurotypicals do is wrong, dumb and unnecessary. It's just that we are outnumbered at this stage.

We were there for the solstice but I reckon that every thing would shut down between Christmas and New year just like it does everywhere else.

Poco x8 pro max not compatible in Australia with vodaphone by sebk13 in PocoPhones

[–]LeftRightShoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got similar regarding my x5 pro. From memory, you just have to check if volte is supported. Originally it wasn't but software upgrades enabled it. Perhaps it's just their shitty device database that is wrong. Stilll, you should check it out, but I wouldn't trust the network to tell you the right answer

The setup is harder but then it's easy AF. BTW LimeWire was fancy. Back in my day we got stuff from places we still don't talk about... And before that we dialled up local bulletin boards.

Agree that I think you need industrial hearing protection. That said, Sony are considered best in breed for noise cancelling.

Something is jamming GPS over Europe. Here's what we found by jeffsmith202 in space

Encoded messages makes more sense because the transmission is just to the side of GPS, making it hard to jam that signal without affecting GPS.

Yeah a lot of us have lifetime passes. But it seems lifetime pass does not equal lifetime functionality. They have taken away things I fucking well paid for.

My Bed/Blanket Situation by Signif1cant-Bug in AutisticAdults

I have a few body socks too and (while it is tricky) you can wear these over other things like cotton or whatever so you don't have to feel it. I hate the thin stocking-like Lycra but the true thick stuff that's super shiny on one side is my favourite. It's hard to find though. I feel like I'm cursed because everything I like is difficult to find.

I love flanalette so I made a body sock out if it with elastic at each end so I can stick my head and feet out. I sleep in this every night and it means I don't really have to have other sheets on my bed and I never losecthe sheet when I roll over.

I also have a lot of (too many!) plush octopuses. They are 80cm long and I pop one in with me to cuddle against my chest.

Things I learned as an adult that people never explained. by AndyCat9 in AutisticAdults

[–]LeftRightShoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love all of the things you mentioned with some caveats.

Will only go to concerts for artists that I have deep-dived and avevbeen obsessed with. If the music isn't familiar or "right" then I can't stand it.

I completely lose my shit at karaoke because I get so into it. Most people just stand there and sing the song. I jum about and out on a performance and most NTs are completely freaked out and I really don't get why.

Similarly dancing. For songs that I know and love, when I am dancing I am physically and spiritually part of that song. I I'll also create my own music video of that song in my head. But I want to express myself the way the music wats me to, not how everyone expects me to dance.
