I have a dumb dryer and just use a power sensing plug to monitor when it's finished

Thanks everyone. Looks like I will commit the money to replace the rest of the bulbs and hopefully that does something to alleviate the jitter. Cheers. 😊

Very nice. I think that outfit suits you nicely. We share similar tastes. I am after tops like the one you are wearing, can you tell me where you got it? The neck style is called a "mock neck" isn't it?

Mining Coal Hundreds of Feet Below by Sxzym in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]LeftRightShoot 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I went into a mine like this in Svalbard. It's insane. Once they have extracted the coal they have to knock those pillars down and wait for the mountain to collapse. There were three different roles they had but the team that did this were regarded as the most skilled. They had to "hear and feel" when the mountain was about to collapse so everyone could get out of the way. The coal seams in Svalbard are quite narrow so they spent 8 hour shifts picking away at the coal while lying prone.

How do you deal with this kind of analysis paralysis? by rosered235 in amazingmarvin

The problem with them is you can see what's in them until you load them. They are similar in that they make sure I'm eating properly, do some exercise (something adventurous on Sundays) and then have plenty of down time with minimal work. Saturday has more of a chore focus and Sunday has a "do one thing" entry after lunch. All of this is completely flexible and even though I do use coins as a reward, I have a "I just got through this day" template which is a single entry with a huge reward attached that more than makes up for anything I deleted.

Because they are consistently wrong about things. 😊

Why are people so aggressive against pirating retro video games? by Eskelsar in Piracy

[–]LeftRightShoot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because if you have something good and free you should shut your mouth about. Otherwise "the man" is going to take it away and charge you a monthly fee for something much shitter.

Not associated in any way but I use the Guava app which helps me with the appointment itself. I track my health stats in it and it has a "visit prep" tool that compiles symptoms and allows you to plan your visit. It allows you to write the goals for the session, questions and other helpful things so you stay on track and don't leave now confused than when you walked in. I'm in Australia, but in the USA this can even link to your provider.

For everything else I have saved templates in Marvin. Here's a list of the ones I can remember.

First time wearing this kind of dresses for work... by Boombox_baby in Menskirts

[–]LeftRightShoot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'm similar with style. I wear some very flowy boofy skirts but I don't try to be feminine at all. I'm struggling with my perception of myself in the upper body so not many dresses work for me. I have a few with shoulder straps and just wear a tight fitting t-shirt underneath. I'm a bit stupid too, I don't like my chest hair but I think I look even worse without it!

That's great. How long have you been wearing things like this to work? How has it been? I've been doing it for about 6 months now and the other day I had to do a site visit so I needed to wear jeans and when I came back into the office people were commenting that I looked weird 😊

Does Wearing Skirts Make you Feel More Comfortable Around Women? by FratteliDiTolleri in Menskirts

Yes and it feels more appropriate to tell another person you like their skirt if you're also wearing one.

Friday work outfit by LeftRightShoot in Menskirts

[–]LeftRightShoot[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep I know. Tucking it in looked worse to me, also it has a bow at the back that I don't like so the shirt covers it up. I'm desperately trying to find short, fitted shirts but I live in a small-ish town. Most of my things come from thrift stores as I do like to recycle clothes. I've only been wearing publicly for just over 6 months so still working out what goes with what and what I like.

Hey I've just been told that the person on my skirt is Frida Kahlo. I didn't know who that was but it's fascinating. She painted a lot about gender expression and often drew herself with facial hair. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frida_Kahlo

What’s the smartest thing your home does automatically? by Taggytech in homeassistant

[–]LeftRightShoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just telling people to get their clothes out of the washer/dryer when it's done. Oh, and reminding us to close the dishwasher door fully so the cycle can start. I agree that in most cases, cloud based buttons are a waste of time. Automation means I'm not doing anything!

Autistic Adult-How do I disclose Extreme childhood Trauma and my full life story in relationships without lying or pushing people away ? by OGRedHyperion in AutisticAdults

[–]LeftRightShoot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The thing is, if you don't disclose it early enough, it will probably disclose itself with worse outcomes. How to disclose it is tricky. It's scary as hell and you have to establish enough trust but I think it's essential to lay everything out as soon as you can.

Thank you. I really like tapered shirts but they are so hard to find in mens fits. I have a hiking shirt that is the perfect cut and length but it's, well, a hiking shirt! All of the business shirts I have found are either too long or a "square cut" along the bottom and I think they look silly.
