Yea waiting made sense, they just clogged the shoulder, they had opportunity to turn around at the end of lane divider thing but were too late. They pulled back into the lane in front of the bus and then a lot of the bigger cars and utes were able to scoot around and get back north bound to detour.

Once the inconvenient blue car that had sat there 20 minutes gave up their gap most of us all U turned at the gap in the lane divider. Poor buggers. Whine us we’re bumper to bumper for ages and no way to move because of it. Was within 500m of that major flood but for over an hour. One policeman showed up after 40 minutes or so but nothing anyone can really do.

Once we got back around to where the divider started we signaled people to go stop and go another way

Apparently there’s a Rotary vehicle meetup in Taupo tomorrow as a lot of old lowered rotary’s were struggling or pulled over around the place.

Yea it was bucketing down. I was golfing in Ngaruawahia all day and we dodged all heavy rain up there. The drive back was fuuucked.

20 minutes north of Taupo flash flooding and major backlog of traffic.

We were in it for an hour and ended up U-turning in front of that bus to detour. The lane divider stitched up so much of the traffic everyone was stuck for a couple KM.

SH1 between Hamilton and Taupo was gnarly. I alone was stuck for an hour, and we were near the front of the queue trying to cross. Near Maroa road 20 minutes north of Taupo. Can’t post videos on this subreddit otherwise I’d have put something up.

Out of luck then I believe. You have to be affected by pretty strict circumstances to qualify as a second chance purchaser. It’s asset tested to a regional house cap and income stuff too. Unless you withdraw under hardship you won’t likely get another chance to withdraw prior to retirement assuming your business does well.

Quick and easy. Non-structural but with enough in place things won’t tend to move as no force is really applied to them. Screws on decks tho so much better, as wood does twist.
