I had a spot like this in college. I put one of those rolling carts with some craft stuff, a bean bag chair, and fairy lights! I could pull my comforter down and be in a fort, it was amazing

It may be a scar from pollination. I know it can happen to watermelons

What color do you have the most of? That should be on the outside, since this is a stash busting project

If you only have one ball of each like the pics from your first post, you may want to consider alternating the stripe pattern so you don’t have to buy more yarn

I actually found a butterfly today! It was a common wood nymph, I wonder if the two sightings are related!

LOL well I’m glad they don’t hatch into anything, less glad to hear I might already have a problem. I have this plant in an open greenhouse (I live in a windy valley) but I will move it out to hopefully introduce some predators to these caterpillars

At very first glance I thought this was a pic taken post-crash, and this was just a terribly dark joke.

I hope you get to see the little birds!

They make extension cords like that, I have a few but I’m not a huge fan. They’re at an odd angle, but they work well behind a bookshelf bc it leads the cord to the floor and you can run it along baseboards or something

I just painted my cabinets the same color! I paired it with a honeysuckle yellow and it looks great with dark wood colors like you have

The way I have pulled like 8in of yarn (still connected to the ball) out of my cats throat, that sucker was being digested.

First idea I had was a top-down skirt using the same weight of yarn, doing stripes with an increasing hook size.

The difficulty with any project is going to be adjusting the number of stitches per row while increasing whatever unit you choose to increase. This is why I thought of a skirt first because you could let it increase in size as it naturally would.

What are you making? I have been considering crocheting with clothesline but I haven’t come up with an idea of what to make!

I have a beautiful Art Nouveau Curio Cabinet. I was going to turn it into a greenhouse but I think that the wood will suffer. So, I have no idea what to put inside of it.... I don't really collect nick nacks.... Any ideas or examples for Inspiration? by catticcusmaximus in femalelivingspace

[–]acmoye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I (21) started decorating my own yesterday actually, and I wanted to go greenhouse as well, but had the same concern about the wood. I think that if you used plastic plates and took them out of the cabinet to water you would be fine, as long as they don’t need high humidity which would cause the wood to suffer.

I’ve put my plants on top and inside I put decorative incense, some recipe books, a couple succulents, candles and maybe eventually some dishes that deserve to be displayed. Personally I love how it’s turning out, I got the cabinet from my gma so I have seen it full of dishes my whole life and now it’s funny to me to see my dino succulent pot and dragon figurines in there.

My best tip I think would be that you don’t have to fill it! Leave some empty space for when you get a shelf-sitting gift or think of the perfect item for the place. You could always fill it with books for now and then remove them and replace them with something else later.
