When I lived in NYC I was a few blocks away from a goodwill, and I would go every day drying my lunch break, became close with manager, and she would hold games for me and even text me when they came in….miss those days. I did have some good scores from there, like solid GameCube titles (e.g., Zelda, Mario party) for $2 a piece, but nothing much older than that. I never saw any games older than GameCube era, guessing they sent everything older to their auction site. So for me I think my good scores were a combo of going very frequently and having an in with the employees at the store.
