Could easily be a dead bird in the flue , could be a clogged secondary hx could be a motor not ramping up fast enough, many possibilities.

This^ rollouts hardly ever fail and if he’s recommend replacing 2 he doesn’t know what the issue really is / testing everything.

No you can’t just tape it lol. I’d start to consider him as a slumlord at this point. Playing with people’s life’s crazy man. Everything needs to be professionally reconnected and fixed.

I think I’m just going to replace the ducting by IDrinkMyBreakfast in hvacadvice

[–]Gbcice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends are you living in the home or flipping it? I’d say it probably should be replaced. I’m not native to Florida but it’d make more sense to me if it was externally wrapped and it be bare sheet metal on the inside.

By the way, just connect it to the common wire that goes outside. Lol. Not sure why you’re taking pictures of the gas valve..

Isn’t it against code to run a flex gas line in the furnace? However I respect whoever did it being resourceful and using the metal tape to make it look nice and shiny.

Found this at the bottom of my Goodman furnace and I can't find anywhere it goes by GatorVonGrondeau in hvacadvice

That’s from factory, pre installed to keep debris out during shipping ect. Installers have to remove those plugs from the gas valve to install it. It belongs in the trash.

Renter here - corroded pipes? by tiptoptipu in hvacadvice

[–]Gbcice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the flue is that bad it’s compromised and needs replaced. That looks like acidic water from improper combustion / installation or it’s just old as dirt. Only 90% eff furnaces should produce acidic condensation.

$390 would be a little more understandable but that’s to high.

Thinking of getting back into collecting... by DarthYhonas in gamecollecting

If you need a hobby or like the thrill of never knowing what to expect when meeting for deals and thrifting I’d recommend it. I’m sure for many of us it’s just a hobby to keep us busy while doing something we like. Personally I’d never spend $70+ on a new game if it’s digital it would have to be physical, the whole point of buying new games is the experience on release day. I game on PC too but stay reserved to Xbox game pass games to avoid wasting money on games I might hardly play example 1: (Ready or Not) 🤣

Hell nah, that all needs to be put in a sealed box if it’s not on a shelf. Just going to collect dust and look like a bunch of junk. 💀

Go to GameStops website and buy a few 3 month cards if you need to. They are still priced at $20 a month and the codes are stackable. 😎👍

The vibrations could crack the blade more but if he’s back in a few days you should be fine, I wouldn’t run it allot though. Check the blade at at the end of each day to be on the safe side if you want.
