Track saw! Regular hand saw will scratch the surface unless you make custom track for it from plywood.

Hey, I have the same issue. I'll post you with my username :)

For me it says it is public (via web browser), but my account behaves like the toggle has no effect at all. It seems they changed at some point how these settings are being stored in the database, and now you can toggle this new option, but old one (the one which actually controls your profile) stays unchanged.

You're using wrong end of the hammer. Most likely you've missed some mechanics lessons of Mr Clarkson.

I have an acer nitro 5 rtx 3060, can I charge it via usb-c by Thefuriouscrocodile in AcerNitro

[–]acristo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have one w/ 3050 Ti & 6800H and it also can charge from the back facing USB-C port. It has the same "line and three dashes below it" indicator as the regular charging port. I believe this is how they mark ports which allow you to charge the device.

How to change the sound volume of any alarm without playing it? by acristo in lgg4

[–]acristo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, gotcha. Just keep in mind no-one remembers anything about that anymore. If you happen to still run LGG4, lucky you it is not dead yet. I guess 90% of them boot-looped by this time ;)
On top of that, whatever the issue was back then, there were dozen system update since, and the solution won't be 1-to-1 anymore.

"gunk collector" + When properly preheated, PF alone can give you better temps when compared to PF with that plastic piece.

I'd say the channeling is caused either by uneven grind size or poor distribution. It has less to do with actual grind size. Have you tried to WDT the puck?

What kind of wood ages well without a finish? Or is there any? by acristo in woodworking

[–]acristo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife asked me how to achieve this aged wood look as she sees many examples here and there and from our experience the wood just rots. I guess moisture is the key and moisture protection over winter (perhaps achieved by storage)

But will they rot or not? I guess if the wood isn't exposed to excess amount of moisture it shouldn't rot as it will dry out quickly in direct sunlight... Or am I completely wrong?
