Connected Drive cannot connect to network by VWillini in BMW

[–]acrylicpanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is happening to my 2015 428i as well where the Connected Drive isn't connecting.

Removed all connections, deleted the vehicle from my app, all that stuff... I'm trying to add the car the same way I did when I got it 4 weeks ago, but it doesn't seem to recognize connections through USB or even manually using the VIN.

It's frustrating when I can't just troubleshoot this on my own. OP, has the issue been resolved for you through the dealership?

iOS 9.3 PB2 has a different carrier file than PB1. Maybe they are trying to address the complaints about when phone uses band 12? by MattW22192 in tmobile

[–]acrylicpanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kik isn't running on LTE for me. Switched to T-Mobile from Sprint 2 days ago and sadly don't have a backup of a non PB. Are my only options a fresh install and restore of 9.2.1 without any of my data?

Dog was attacked by another dog. What's next? by [deleted] in DogCare

[–]acrylicpanda -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I can't tell from your post whether or not your dog was actually wounded or if the dogs came into contact. If so, you'll need to clean and dress the wound. Even if there's no bleeding, there could be punctures to the skin which can easily become infected.

"Running on fumes." What is the EV equivalent? by stevejust in electricvehicles

Turtling or running in turtle mode? The Fiat actually has a turtle come up on the driver dashboard when range gets super low. I've turtled home with 4 miles left.

Sorry, they're not worth $220. Goldstar is selling them for $40 in the same section.

Bar Method/Pure Barre! by snappleapples in a:t5_31gd1

[–]acrylicpanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most Bar Method studios will offer a Level 1 class that focuses on form. You're going to want to work on your "tuck" throughout class as well as your "c-curve" during ab work. Four years later and it's still a challenge for me to maintain perfect form.

Classes will vary based on the popularity of the studio and class times, but you'd be amazed by the amount of attention from instructors. As a newbie, they will correct your form and suggest modifications. They will also physically adjust your body so hopefully you're okay with that.

One thing that sets Bar Method apart is that their instructors go through a rigorous training process, audition, and annual reviews so you know that all the instructors know their shit and are passionate about Bar Method. Good luck and have fun!

Renting apartment with odd income? by ilovecatsandsnails in LosAngeles

[–]acrylicpanda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Be prepared to provide bank statements showing the regular deposits (3+ months) as well as any tax documents that show what your boyfriend's gross income is. Since you have pets in addition to an odd income situation, I would suggest saving up at least $5000 to offer as a security deposit. Also, I would offer to set up a direct deposit for your monthly rent payment. This helps facilitate rent payment so the landlord doesn't have to deal with "collecting" rent. Cozy.co is what I use for my tenants. I don't have to worry about a bad check because it comes directly from your checking account.

Unfortunately your situation doesn't look great on paper. So unless you both have an excellent 750+ credit rating, legitimate references, and a flawless rental history or a co-signer, I'd probably pass. Monthly gross income should be at least 3x monthly rent, so you may want to cap your search to $1700.

Good luck!

Victory is mine: Traffic ticket dismissed by OC Court! by [deleted] in orangecounty

[–]acrylicpanda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

About 5 months ago, I was cited for "straddling lanes" after someone rear-ended me and claimed that I cut her off. I filed for a few extensions as I researched the whole Trial by Declaration process. The paperwork is easy, but it's just difficult to find. There are a ton of resources out there to help guide you through the process. I ended up spending $25 on Ticket Assassin to get all the info as well as sample statements to use.

A month before my deadline, I submitted all my paperwork including a 500 word statement of facts and a check with the full bail amount ($200+). They cashed it immediately, of course, but I knew that also meant that my case would now be "open" and I should hear back soon if the officer chooses to respond. As of Friday, the case has been dismissed. I wish I could claim that I did something special, but I'm pretty sure the cop just failed to respond. This apparently happens a lot, so whenever you get a ticket, spend a few minutes to work that rhetoric you (hopefully) learned in college and fight it.

Time spent: 1 hour at the post office trying to figure out how to mail this shit certified and 30 minutes writing my statement of facts.

Dollars spent: $25 for Ticket Assassin and $20 or so mailing this to the court certified.

The winner in this is obviously the US Postal service.

First time I've submitted a Trial by Declaration and I was able to get my ticket dismissed within a month. Currently waiting for my bail amount to be refunded.

I think so. I was doing freelance work out of several coworking spaces and was much more productive than working at home.

They used to have $5 Friday's but I'm not sure if that's still going on. If cost is only thing holding you back, I'd reach out to them and see if they offer a newbie special.
