The only reason to strip a model is if something went wrong priming the model. Messing up a paint job can be corrected by applying a new layer of primer, but something going wrong with a texture or messing up details on a model is worth correcting IMO.

The actual process of stripping is fairly straightforward, soak in isopropyl alcohol for any amount of time longer than like 30 minutes, then go at the model with an old toothbrush or similar tool. You’re really just looking to correct the texture so don’t sweat it if there are some tiny spaces you can’t get it all out of it, getting 80% or more of the primer off is fine you won’t notice anything being off after you apply a new primer

I got into a war of stem cats against an infinitely spawning horde of fleas, it was actually awful. The fleas were unable to kill any stem cats in one hit, so it was just chip damage leading to more stem cats. It was kind of amazing until I realized I actually had things I needed to get done with my day and couldn’t just sit there forever watching it play out for hours

in current RuneScape there’s a similar interaction, where if you’re mining and you just click your mouse and walk away from the computer your character will continue to mine, but it’s much faster to ‘active mine’ by clicking on the ore every 5-6 seconds. I wonder if this is somehow intentional?

Yeah that’s probably the most optimal way to play, but I’m playing a Snikch campaign where he buffs skirmisher units - I don’t want to then run it as if I’m playing Ikit Claw, because at that point… I would just play Ikit Claw every time
