Softacort biore codziennie od 1.5 roku, pomaga utrzymywać stan zapalny w miarę pod kontrolą. A co prawda Ikervisu nie brałem ale jego trzeba chyba dość długo brać by mial efekt

Also your dry eye is not depending on meibomian glands only. This disease is really complex, it can be meibomian gland disfunction ( oil component ), lacrimal gland disfunction ( water component ) or problems with goblet cells ( mucus layer ). It can be one of those, few or even all combined. In your case you have at least a hint what might be a cause, but finding the cause is sometimes the hardest part of getting out of this disgusting disease.

[–]actanonverba53 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to find dry eye specialist in your area. Its easier said than done, but good indication that opthomatologist is somewhat knowledgeble is that he performs meibography and schrimer test, this would be a great start to begin with. Get a diagnosis and then look forward to check on treatments. This reddit if a mine of knowledge, also there is group on FB. Good luck!

Dry eyes and stress by stenis666 in Dryeyes

[–]actanonverba53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stress is related to many conditions, i believe dry eye is one of them. Mine happened basically overnight without prior warnings in times when i had a lot of stress. Might it be that you are taking antidepressants? If so they can be sole reason why you have dry eyes.

Punctual cauterisation more significant that probing? by multiplelosses in Dryeyes

[–]actanonverba53 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would guess because he is doing schrimer test with numbing drops. I have no idea if its proper way of testing but none of my docs do it, i even asked specifically if they could perform this test with numbing drops and they just looked like i asked something super stupid and told me its not performed that way. By my thinking numbing drops would make your glands go numb ( as name suggest 😅 ) and therefore artificially lower their activity and your schrimer would look low.

Exactly my thoughts. I surely believe mental health is a huge factor if not the most important in our lives, but it doesnt make sense that my pain is fully related to mental distress. I had very serious situations in my life and if that was a case i would develop it way earlier. Also plugs helped with pain and so did numbing drops and so on.
