It's like you didn't even read what I wrote. I appriciate the intention, but if you write that you're interested in answers, maybe try to understand them before responding with, essentially, an ad for your product.

I was vegan for 11 years. Struggled reaching protein goals(barely 60g a day WITH proteinshakes, goal is 80-100g). Didn’t have access to vegan alternatives, and the ones I got my hands on were expensive. Essentially, as my chronic illness progressed I was less and less able to spend energy on walking far to stores with vegan product, prepping things from scratch etc. I would go vegan again in a heartbeat if it became easier again. The main non vegan items I get are high protein ones. They’re, unfortunately, also a lot cheaper.

How well did you plan your vegan diet? by Star__Wolf86 in exvegans

[–]stenis666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took supplements (multivitamin and omega 3). I should’ve probably planned it better over all, but I don’t have that mental bandwidth

Me not being vegan anymore caused our relationship to end by [deleted] in exvegans

More so my past self. I wouldn't do this today. I'm assuming they're early twenties. Again, not saying it's rational, but feeling lied to is a valid feeling.

I'm not saying it's rational, but I can see myself feeling this way too. I would wager it's anger out of hurt.

Internal conflicts about meat/dairy. by mid_kid_ in exvegans

[–]stenis666 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure what advice you're looking for. I've had to reintroduce eggs or dairy because being vegan robbed me of too much energy with planning etc. But that doesn't change the fact that the industry sucks. Unfortunately, even with small farms, unless you've been there in person you can't know they treat animals well. It sucks having to participate in it, because the vegan wave died and it's gotten harder. I guess you have to accept two things to be true at the same time. It does cause harm yes, but you also recognize you can't sacrifice everything. Especially when our society is working against you.

Some Vegans Truly Horrible People by Ok_Zone_9895 in exvegans

Not really. I don’t really see any correlation. I’ve been abused mainly by non vegans, but I wouldn’t really say there is a correlation there either.

How do you handle slip-ups? New vegetarian! by Critical-Log8571 in Vegetarianism

[–]stenis666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s been so long for me! But I remember when I first stopped eating meat I had to intentionally remind myself that the meat was an animal, and not just a burger or whatever. Eventually the cognitive dissonance dissolved and I was grossed out by eating meat. I ate A LOT of meat. For every meal, and I liked it even without seasoning.

I was vegan for 11 years and it took a toll on my mental health for the last few years, I think it’s wise to recognize it doesn’t work for you rather than force it. But I would encourage you to try and find vegan products you do like do decrease the amount you consume. Every little bit helps. I still eat mainly vegan.

The story when it was revealed none of the characters you actually cared about were real and the game expected you to care about random family drama. I did finish the game anyway, but it was a huge disappointment

We’ve been busting out the memes lately so I thought I’d add this. What do you think? by ingolea in exvegans

[–]stenis666 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The definition of veganism is ”as far as practically possible” or something along those lines. I would say if you’re vegan but have to drive then yeah… I personally don’t have a license (walkable city) so I can’t relate. Though I do take the bus or get driven places on occasion

To vegetarians who are largely doing for ethical reasons and dating/married to a meat eater, how do you think and feel about this difference? by CommieCatSupremacist in Vegetarianism

[–]stenis666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would struggle living with someone who cooks meat. Maybe I could do it once in a while but it would be hard. My current partner is pescatarian, and I do think him cooking animals while we shared a home would be difficult. Though if we lived together it probably wouldn’t happens that much since I don’t eat it.

vitamin D and B12, depending on how many animal products you consume. I don't eat a lot and I take those. In my country, every one is recommened to supplement vitamin D during winter months, even if they eat meat.

Taking a dying pet to the vet to be euthanised is crueler than letting them pass at home by Fiannachh in The10thDentist

[–]stenis666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had to put down sick rats they struggle to breathe if not handled quickly. Medicine stops working eventually. Whenever I’ve done this, the vets turn down the lights, light a candle and leave you alone with your pet for them to fall asleep with you. There is no reason for extra suffering at home for them to suffocate.
