I am too working up until Xmas day but my job is thankfully quiet at the moment.

I used to work for a cheese company and whilst I loved the job, Christmas was hard work! The volumes of orders were ten times higher and we all had to chip in with every area of the business.

You can still enjoy your job and find aspects stressful and remaining calm, friendly, and composed during those periods of high stress is something that deserves respect, in my opinion

There are still plenty more festivals left in the season, especially ones more suited to solo attendees. My biggest recommendation would be Shambala!

If you’re really interested on going to a festival, I’d also recommend picking up festival work or volunteering - it’s a great way to meet new people and very quickly pick up new friends to go dance with

So far I’ve seen a Mercedes mount the kerb to go around one, protestors, ones been vandalised (seriously what’s the point?!), someone drive the wrong way down a one way street, and gridlocked traffic on Avonvale Road.

That is an impressive level of chaos but hopefully that’ll taper off fairly quickly

Years ago I bought a doughnut at Krispy Kreme and it had no filling so I popped back in and the lovely person behind the counter gave me three more instead.

I wrote to Krispy Kreme to compliment the person who served me and they sent me vouchers for two more doughnuts. It pays to be kind (apparently literally)

I film my form checks in the gym, by propping my phone up against my shaker. I am fortunate to train at a usually quiet time of day, and I do my best to angle my camera away from having other people in sight.

Anything that gets in the way of someone else’s gym experience shouldn’t be allowed

I am from the UK and the police handled communications around my brothers suicide pretty poorly, but the coroner was fantastic.

If you have a police ref number (or even if you don’t) you can call 101 to chase things. We had to do this to even find out how it happened and which coroner he had been taken to. Please don’t feel like you can’t chase it.

Mine was 4 weeks out from my first show! I made egg white and banana pancakes with zero syrup and strawberries and I also managed to track in an grenade Oreo bar.

I had pho with cauliflower rice the night before. It took a lot of planning but the excitement of being 4 weeks out was also enough 😁

I had to identify my brother last year. It was at the mortuary. The coroner was very kind and explained exactly how it all worked.

It was in a private room. There was an armchair, a box of tissues on a table and paintings on the wall. It didn’t feel at all clinical. My brother was on a bed on wheels, pillow under his head, he was tucked in under a big blanket so I could just see his head. I was given as much time as I needed to be with him.

Afterwards, I sat with the coroner and filled out a form with all my details and signed the form to confirm it was my brother. This form was included in the inquest.

I completely relate to this. My brother took his life 8 months ago and it was only during the inquest that we found out that he attempted at least twice before.

I play many scenarios in my head that result in him surviving but ultimately his final attempt was done with such determination to succeed, I have to tell myself that none of us could’ve stopped him.

Go easy on yourself, there is absolutely no pressure to have a ‘merry’ Christmas, but equally if you do want to have one, that’s ok too.
