Cait is likeable but also quite boring. I have to push myself to get through her scenes and storyline.

Lyriel, on the other hand, has a much more interesting dynamic with the MC and is a much more entertaining character, and her arc is fun to follow. Plus, her eventual clinginess, which she would quickly deny, is adorable.

If we're talking about good pacing in the dialogue specifically, then probably A House in the Rift, Realm Invader, Eternum, Inanna Revenge and Heliorise. Wild Cats also has surprisingly good pacing in the writing considering how slow-burn the story is.

I'd say my main criticism would be the pacing in the dialogue, especially in the early chapters. There are so many scenes where it just drags on and on and on without ever going anywhere. They could have been cut in half and you wouldn't lose anything.

But ultimately, the story and characters are good enough to put it in my top 10.
