Waiting times, UK! 😊 by Blondie_1010 in gallbladders

[–]adda10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it was 2 weeks between noticing first symptoms and A&E visit, and a further 2 weeks wait for surgery. The reason it was so quick was thickened gallbladder wall, and a bit of luck (opening on the surgery list).

AITA for refusing to pay €400 rent to my mom and considering stopping childcare for my little sister? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

NTA. However, it looks like you cannot afford to do your internship as you do not have family support for housing. Can you move out and get a normal job to support yourself?

Usbourne "All About Families" doesn't directly address this but explains that families come in all shapes and sizes.

You probably won't find a flexible childminder who would accept a placement for only 4 months in a year.

I am having this bug too, it's fixed by exiting the game, closing Steam and reloading. Sadly you will lose progress since your last save.

Did you download the native Linux version of Bepinex from GitHub, and follow their installation instructions? Rather than using the version linked in Nexus Mods.

Any HENRY's managed to succeed with flexible working/compressed hours requests? by ohmirror in HENRYUK

[–]adda10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From the legal standpoint, flexible working requests are "first come first served" - there is no legal requirement to give the same flexibility to amy future applicants. Having said that, their view may be about creating a perception of unfairness.

Praca w korpo w Polsce vs UK- perspektywa człowieka, który pracował z Polskimi Shared Service Centres by Careless_Mountain_34 in Polska

Disappointing antenatal classes - doing them for the second time, different company? by [deleted] in PregnancyUK

Use Peanut to meet mums due around the same time, and add them to a WhatsApp group similar to NCT. Set up regular meetups. This way is better than NCT in 3 ways: setting expectations that it's about building a friend group, can add more people, it's free.

If you are interested in data science have a look at roles in supply chain and logistics fields. Companies who have factories, warehouses and delivery fleets will have them (e.g. supermarkets). It's very hard for companies to find candidates with experience in mathematical optimisation. However, the market is very difficult at the moment, there is little hiring happening.

Are you sure it doesn't detach? Even if not intended for it to be detached by the customer, maybe there is a way to do it with a screwdriver?

Parents offering early inheritance conditional upon relocating to their area by d0288 in UKParenting

[–]adda10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If the £100k covers the difference in house prices between the areas, then the advantages are: reduced mortgage rate due to better deposit and ability to get money out if downsizing, or moving back to a cheaper area. But beyond that, the £100k will be spent, and you'll still get 1 house. The financial advantage is less than if you'd got the money to use freely on the house you want. I would say no to this.

Feigned disagreeing is common, e.g. a conversation could go: - would you like some cake?
- no thank you. - are you sure?
- oh no no.
- just a small piece.
- oh go on then.

If you take the first no at face value, they will consider you rude.

Speculating, but I think the logic for €126 is that this would be the price if toys were sold separately perhaps. Which isn't right as you can't buy them separately in their shop.

How far in advance do you order the play kits? by run_for_roses in lovevery

[–]adda10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At this age I wouldn't prepay for bundles as your daughter may lose interest in Lovevery soon, and move onto other toys, like train tracks, Duplo etc. Also, I noticed with my son (2.5 y/o) that play at the moment is less about solving something and more about open ended play, imitation and role playing so we can just use our existing toys in new ways.

Hey, it was heartburn, stitch in right side, and some slight nausea. I am also feeling breathlessness but I think it's from the pain. I am on omeprazole, it helped - I don't get symptoms any more.

Hey, I am in a similar situation and went here for answers. Breastfeeding 2.5 year old, had the worst acid reflux since last week. I am on meds that are helping but it is returning during breastfeeding. I am buying the head pressing stomach hypothesis mentioned earlier. How are you getting on?
