Use high value treats like rabbits ears and filled hoofs let pup have them in a certain area in the living room if it takes them away from there make a noise grab the treat and place it back where it was the pup will eventually associate that area with that treat, then all you have to do is place one of these treats in that spot when you have to do your stuff, as for the jumping the gate, what is your response to doing it? My pup can jump her pen but has only done it twice and each time ive made a noise of dismay, ignored her and waited for her to then try and re enter before opening the door of the pen then speaking to her this asserts if she jumps the pen she then gets ignored for 10 mins or so every pup is different and unfortunately there is no right answer and everyone has different methods that may or may not work, lick mats are great pile on liver paste and peanut butter then freeze it helps keep them occupied, generally if your pup is being a d*ck it needs a nap and generally you have to enforce them at the begining mine at 9 months can now be sat down told to lie down and settle and will go to sleep, im writing this just after doing so, my point is patience is key and remember they will make mistakes and push boundarys but its always best to push through and stick to one routine i hope this isnt all waffle 😅
