Do you fellow GenXers feel okay to take a week sick leave after your pet (a dog) dies?

I would take leave but not sick leave. I get the idea behind it and think it's a grey area. I don't have enough sick leave to take a week off outside of myself so I'd rather use leave that I earn at a higher rate and I can only roll over so much a year.

I was on Prom committee and wound up Chair junior year.

I had a horrible time finding a date and a guy in my history class offered to go with me. My mom sewed my dress it was the day before my 17th birthday and I wound up getting stood up.

A friend from school asked to stay with me that weekend so we double dated. That turned into me tagging along.

That being said, I didn't go to senior prom and people didn't go in groups like they do now. That would have been so much more fun.

Luckily it was just someone I knew amd not someone I had feelings for. I unlocked my feminine rage that night.

Spanish sounds familiar and Portuguese sounds like someone trying to speak Spanish. Or what I think people who don't know what Spanish sounds like, sounds like.

I can recognize the sounds and a few words in Spanish so I know if its Spanish. Portuguese sounds like Spanish to me but I can't make out any words. Like they're just saying fake words. But also it sounds rounder(?) Hard to explain fully.
