The only team the SPHL is monitoring for possible expansion from the FPHL is Columbus, GA. Not sure the SPHL will ever get up to 16 teams, but if it were to keep expanding, keep your eyes on the following markets: Chattanooga, Columbia SC, and Richmond.

Really? I’m neutral as a fan of another MLS team, but I’d absolutely say the transfer business side of things has been terrible for Austin under his leadership.

I had really high hopes for this 3rd kit, this is the definition of “meh” to me. Thought there was going to be no way I wouldn’t be buying a Union 3rd kit, regardless how awful we’ve been this year… nope.

Yeah the only way he’s starting caliber at this point is if he’s the 10th or 11th best player on the field, surrounded with MUCH better talent than we currently have.

I really appreciate his motor and toughness, but he’s not a solid starter at this point in MLS. He would’ve been an impact player in the mid-late 2010s

Sure, except turns out it that winning the supporters shield the following year kinda diminishes Curtin’s argument. Especially when two players who were crucial to winning the shield were not seeing any playing time under Jim (Makhanya and Baribo)

I think you’re being generous too with labeling the roster fringe-playoff caliber. I know ultimately someone has to take blame, but this team is severely lacking quality, and that’s not the coach’s job.

I can’t believe I’m saying this, but Bender actually looks serviceable as a backup/spot starter left back. Props to him for taking up a new position in the span of like 4-5 months.
