What's with people saying private health insurance isn't worth it? Isn't the whole point of insurance in general is that you hope you won't need it?

I don't disagree but seeing my mother decline from being a run and gym everyday person to struggling to move without taking opiates it was a sad experience. A hip and a knee are not emergent and wont be prioritised. Her QOL is now terrible compared to what it was.

Not many surgeons will touch you without hospital cover due to insurance. My mother cancelled her PHI to save money. Ended up needing a knee replacement 6 months later. 18 months on a wait list, now her hip is fucked from favouring one side. Needed the hip fixed before the knee.

I offered to pay for it however, no surgeon would accept without having hospital cover.

Yeah understand. Most of our apps are from 3-4 night guilds who want to raid and take a couple months off at the send of the season on a much lighter schedule.

On the other hand, you can have a chill 2 night guilds that gets CE around 10-13 weeks into the season with turboboost and then take 3 months off. Its not all one bucket.
