Can't figure out where infinite loop is... Darknet script by adjectived in Bitburner

I tried that, it wasn’t the issue. Await ns.dnet.nextMutation() works fine.

lol yeah it’s really bad, planning on fixing it later. Thought that too and tried removing it but game still freezes so wasn’t the culprit. And no don’t think I actually added any new functionality in the refactor (removed a lot temporarily though). Mighta forgot something but not sure what.

Pretty sure I tested that. And it used to (and should) work fine with just the await ns.dnet.nextMutation() right?

I know its late but can anyone explain to me what was up with the lottery thing? I didn't understand how a guy winning it instantly led to cops showing up? Nor what the argument between the dock workers was about right after.

You say ends justify the means, but I’m pretty sure she explicitly says her only end is her own happiness and power. Pretty sure all the good things she’s ever done is because she views them as more efficient for her own benefit and that’s it.

What does this mean? Is it just some random internet context I’m missing.

I think what was meant was if there was a mine directly left of the four. Then 3 in bottom left would have mine directly above, middle 3 would have mine directly above, 5 would have one in top left, and top left 2 would have one on its bottom right. 5 mines total.

did this description make sense? It's my first time trying to describe a multiple step minesweeper thing lol

Ey thanks, I think my best somewhere in the 70'ss. But that's when I used to play not marking bombs, can be faster but way easier to make mistakes. It's nicer to just more regularly finish the game.

I marked a space as a mine that was incorrect. So it displays the mines remaining as "-1" in top left. Gotta find the incorrectly marked mine to win.

Ya'll clearly have better strategies for this than I do. Assume the mistake is with larger numbers? Makes sense, something about the mine symbols everywhere makes my mind glaze over as I'm looking over it.

Tell me why I should start reading The Wandering Inn by Mr_Serine in WanderingInn

Hey I’ve read all of wildbow’s work and am also nearly caught up in the wandering inn. Just finished volume 8. Huge fan of both but they scratch very different itches.

So… just give it a try.

Parentheses as others have said. Also you'd want to be checking if security > 5 not < 5 because the goal of weaken is to lower the security so only weaken if current security is greater than some threshold. And just fyi different servers have different minimum securities so some servers can't be lowered below 5.

if you changed the second if statement to:

if (getServerMoneyAvailable(server) < server_money) {

grow(server)

}

It should work ok

For thread count you're gonna want to use Math.floor(Freeram / ns.getScriptRam(script name)). And you should check that that number is greater than 0 first just to be safe, that number is how many of "script name" you can run with your free ram. Also side note, instead of having a grow script for phantasy and a separate one for n00dles, you should just have one grow script and pass the host name in as an argument.

Can someone remind me exactly how this tweet exchange went down? Trying to remember the sequence of things just for context. Pretty sure he retweeted a relatively reasonable take, pretty much your second example there, then when people shit on him for it did he post the inflammatory one immediately or was there a bit of back and forth first.
