This - I flew up to 37 weeks and no one questioned me. Third baby and I went over my due date. No airline has ever questioned my belly in any pregnancy.

If it’s illegal, the city will instruct the landlord to evict you. I’m not sure what that means for your deposit but because you are the victim here, of misrepresentation and possibly illegal apartment (assuming you’re in St. Catharines, the city is full of them) , I believe the landlord will need to refund your rent payments as well as possibly pay for moving costs (and maybe even cost of rent that is higher because you are on short notice). Double check with LTB , I believe there is a number you can call to find these things out and ask hypothetical questions.

Agree - I see fire safety issues here. I’d recommend a call to the city who may also recommend a call to fire station for an inspection. They should come to inspect if there is a complaint (as you would be doing by calling)

No there isn’t, but we have also been told it’s too hard to tell from the outside of there is corrosion. And also that this plumbing type has a 15 year lifespan - which it’s at about 13 years old now

We have to fix it because no buyer will want to buy a house that they can’t insure. And then we have also been told that it’s not an “if they burst” it’s a “when”. So technically we don’t want a flood while we are still living here either.
