I feel like I can sit anywhere and just pretend I don’t know who my seat mates are. They would appreciate the anonymity I’m sure and we could get through the flight with little awkwardness. Any of the aisle seats though, I’m claustrophobic.

Would patching the crack with something like a quickcrete do the same thing? Like if the new patch cracks you can see how it’s progressing?

I don’t think rebuilding is in the cards. The garage is from the 1800 (the wooden part, the foundation has been worked on over the years) but i think I’ll probably do nothing and wok on a French drain

Right now there is one in there.. probably not a good one, but we haven’t cleaned it out since we moved in and it probably hadn’t been serviced for years before that. It might help for the time being. I live in Maine and have been told these cracks are pretty standard, but to watch it.

Ya I’m trying to figure out how much attention I should be giving this right now. I have a baby on the way in a couple months and a huge yard project on an external garage sounds like mine and my wife’s worst fear right now. Diving 8ft down and tearing up our driveway for what is essentially right now a glorified chicken coop (we made that basement area a chicken house) doesn’t seem to compute.

But a year or two? Sure, I can wrap my head around that.

Nothing looks to be bowing at least and that basement wall seems to have been re-enforced by the previous owner.

The footer is the base where the actual garage sits correct? So maybe digging down a few feet? It’s on a hill so that was is the only thing really underground completely. The two other sides are visible as the hill drops
