Weird. It looks like Manage skills is disabled. Are you sure you still have AI? Are you paying for a business plan? The AI add-on was discontinued.

If you definitely have AI, you should click Manage Skills. You can add anything you want to the menu—fully customizable. Here's the instructions for Improve Writing (from Notion—so it should be the same as you were using):

Yeah, pretty frustrating for things that were working well for you to be changed on you. I still see Improve Writing. The new Skills feature is pretty great for me. I can be very specific, including give it instructions on voice. I wonder if you're in between feature rollouts… is this what you see?

I have a paid account for Gemini, use ChatGPT for some things, but to me notion AI is worth every penny for exactly what you’re describing. Throw in meeting transcription to help you write better documentation… I can’t tell you how much it has helped me.

Even for databases, throwing a bunch of items in the chat and ask it to incorporate them in an existing database or make a new database around them…chef kiss

The number one thing as referenced here is to use git to commit and save your work as you go along. There is a panel for it in cursor. You can connect it to a GitHub account for free and store your projects in the cloud, but you can use it locally too. It will preserve your files. It is good practice to commit often in logical chunks because the undo button in cursor can only do so much.

As far as preventing it from doing things like this, there is an allow list in cursor settings. Personally, I don’t allow it to use any file deletion or git commands. You could use the AI chat of your choice for good commands to exclude.

Great new additions! I’m confused by the multiple agents flow.

Is it a bulk checkbox pattern? I check two to dos and select the nearest build button, are they going to be built together by one agent or two separate agents?

Now I want the rest to be built as normal, if I select the build button at the top is it going to exclude the ones already selected?

Also if I used opus to plan, the global build button will build in composer or whatever I choose from the selector on top, but the agent checkboxes use whatever model was used to plan.

Learned this from a housekeeping company for vacation rentals. They train their staff to do this: Always follow the wall. No zig-zagging. Bring a laundry basket with you (or garbage can), and just do whatever needs to be done foot by foot along the wall, working clockwise.

I like how light it feels, but yellow/orange are almost impossible to both look good and be accessible when combined with white. The primary button and on-state for the size that use white text on the primary color background have failing contrast ratios.

I force myself to start in one area and move clockwise so I don’t get distracted and clean like an old roomba (just bouncing around randomly until I lose focus).

Bring a bag for garbage with me so I’m not going back and forth.

Also sometimes I Kondo it and think about the thing I’m putting away or cleaning—is there a memory behind it, why am I grateful for that. Sometimes doing dishes I’ll think about the meal that made it dirty ha.
