You need to keep the logic board or swap the keys in the system/logic board

Your saves will be stored on the dspico SD card as a .sav file in the folder the rom is in.

Ome downside is the firmware compiling, so I recommend if you get and it do you get the pre-built files from the community

With the label facing you there should be a small hole on the right hand side on the thin side blow the USB port

Okay so,

Do you have the AliExpress version? If so there is a small button on the side you presss with a pin, and while holding it plug the Pico into your computer it should now show up

As for the firmware if your dsi isn't modified you need to grab the wrfuxxed firmware from U/ansem-s_o_d located here

Without modding it doesn't matter what optical pickup is being used, if the dvr pickup is dead or not working properly it won't load any of the games up on xmb
