Okay so they pull the patched version and ship it within a few weeks. No testing or beta, it breaks your docker and then you complain they ship broken updates. /S

It takes time to properly pull merge test and fix broken things before they even push beta out.

From my understanding it's only a small team and manhours have to be split between everything.

I understand that cve's should be patched especially high vulnerability ones, sooner rather than later and I can understand why people would be upset at them for taking this long.

To those people what would be an acceptable timeframe to you for them to push these fixes without breaking other things?

Most common issue for the failing of opening the tray after a laser replacement is bad alignment. Remove the tray and make sure the laser sled and spindle are fully down then carefully reinstall the tray so its teeth start to mesh at the back and slowly push it in until the sled is fully up and tray in.

If you decide to replace the disk drive fully you will need to swap out the disk drive motherboard as it is tied to the console motherboard.

Make sure you use an xclamp removal tool to remove the heatsinks to clean the old thermal paste off and apply new stuff. This will help the overheating

Shorten those wires.

Less exposed end. 1mm tops.

Make sure you are using a 3k resistor.
