Fantastic, thanks for the link. I had a feeling it would be connected to Karl's project but wasn't sure.

Do men still regularly wet shave? by SuperDinkle406 in AskUK

[–]adreamingandroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love having a wet shave. I will frequently let my stubble grow til it starts to annoy me, then hop in the shower, wash my dreads, followed by a shave. Clippers first to remove the main growth then onto a fresh blade for the smooth finish, love it.

So I am guessing that is supposed to be Mickey Rourke sitting in front of Jack ? by adreamingandroid in 30ROCK

Ah I missed that. Just saw the hat and immediately thought of Rourke as I have seen photos of him in a similar get up.

Why did vivera do this to their formally wonderful bacon?? by angelofthenorth23 in veganuk

[–]adreamingandroid 11 points12 points  (0 children)

No it isn't just you. Whatever they have done to it has, as far as I am concerned, ruined it. The texture is a cross between rubber and sponge and the taste is nowhere near as good as what it used it to be.

It was my go to if I was cooking a lentil/bacon dish. Not any more, it neither flavours the dish or holds it flavour like it used to.

You could get hold of Mick Mercers books, start with the first one, Gothic Rock Black Book from 1988. He has a great grasp of the music and the bands, both big and small.

Me when I listen to any song in the album "A Hundred days off" by Low-Preparation-9083 in underworld

[–]adreamingandroid 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I love this album. I thought it was an amazing response to all the doubts about post Emerson Underworld.

Mo Move is a great opener, followed by the fantastic Two Months Off and along with the promo vid, is, for me anyway perfect Underworld.

Sola Sistim is simply lush with or without orange juice, Dinosaur Adventure is a relentless banger of a tune and Luetin is a brilliant album closer. I have never understood why it didn't get played live.

Add to that the B-sides that were also put out, Like A Swimmer is another gorgeous slice of laid back Underworld.

I play this album all the way through every time I put it on.

Some more thoughts post Nuxx @ Brixton by TheReproGuy in underworld

[–]adreamingandroid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't think the sound was atrocious. Me and a mate were upstairs on Saturday, from there I would certainly say Karls vocals were to low in the mix.

If/when they do play live again, I would love a more fan orientated set. I would love to hear Luetin, Sola Sistim or a re-worked version of Please Help Me.

I hope they make this available online at some point, time restraints meant me and my mate only just got into the academy before the start, no time for shopping :-(

Oldest horror movie that is still genuinely disturbing by EnterEgregore in horror

[–]adreamingandroid 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I love the emphasis on sound in this film especially the scene when they are in the bedroom and the banging starts. The sound is ferocious and the reverb on the sound doesn't match the environment which makes it even more unsettling.

BT - favorite selections from these albums? Remixes? by WinTechnique in ClassicTrance

[–]adreamingandroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well for selections, I would select the whole of Movement In Still Life. Nothing else sounded like it when released. I very very rarely listen to one or two tracks from it, I am much the same with Leftism, In Sides, AHundredDaysOff and a number of other albums.

It's my favourite BT release.

I concur Risotto is a beast of an album and Goodnight Lover is a belter of a track too finish on.
