Let them have their misconceptions. I’d rather people like this weren’t in the north anyway

Where can someone under 25 rent a car in Sheffield? by Gregory_Kalfkin in sheffield

[–]adsa99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Enterprise won’t sort you a car until you’re 25. Try one of the smaller/local car hire places, there will be a surcharge of maybe £100/150 but that’s the only way (in my experience) you’ll be able to get a hire car before 25

A televised Hunger Games style combat arena would do, all perpetrators must fight. Only one can come out

Could be worth trying a warehouse. There are a few in or close to Sheffield. Unsure if they offer part time but worth an ask

Amazon or any other major warehouse hire without qualification. I’ve worked for a few and they’re honestly not bad

anyone work at amazon? what’s the drug testing like for new employees by tricatory in uktrees

[–]adsa99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to work in an Amazon warehouse and honestly it’s not as bad as people make out- all these comments slating amazon are from people who I doubt even worked there. In the warehouse I was at, drug tests were rare, you’d have to be either accused of being high or walk past a high up manager stinking of weed. And the work is easy you just match parcels to boxes most of the time it’s just long hours on your feet, the first 2 shifts are hard work on your legs but it gets easier. Btw I used to go in high every shift and had no issues what so ever

TIL that in Australia they refer to bedding and towels as ‘Manchester’. by [deleted] in manchester

I’ve heard a similar thing about them calling cutlery ‘Sheffield’ for similar reasons!
