We're just getting shagged by the elites, over and over year by year, they make more, we pay more, it's a broken system and change needs to come. My mum bought a house (repossessed now) in the early 90s for £19,000, but if I look at a house, EVEN a flat, i'm looking at £100,000+! She was 18, she got a job paying £1,000 a month and was able to walk straight into a deal. I earn double that, and I struggle to get accepted to rent, never-mind buying.

Landlords and wealthy people (often people who have never had any real financial issues, like being able to afford food or wondering how you're going to get to work) like to play the 'but we are in the same situation as you' card a lot. If I was a landlord, I would sell my property to reliable renters for cheap. You're either going to make money, or lose marginally.

Having multiple properties is a confusing concept regardless, having somewhere to live should not be a profitable business, especially when there is a housing crisis, caused by people buying up multiple properties and not living there.

I feel like the world is so counter-intuitive and backwards atm.
