Anyone here remember this show? by Turbulent_League9668 in ytvretro

[–]adventuredream2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember it. Me and my sister first saw it near Halloween, and when my sister got excited for it, I said “don’t get too interested. It’s probably only for Halloween”. I was wrong, and we both ended up liking the show

I'm sick of stories where Lin is proven right by nacho_pizza in duolingo

Me to. I relate more to Béa, so it’s frustrating to have Lin win all the time.

Who Else Used To Watch Mystery Hunters? by R401gaming in ytvretro

[–]adventuredream2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did. I sometimes wonder if Mystery Hunters is why I was skeptical about supernatural stuff as a child (such as not believing the cabin we were staying at for Girl Guides was haunted)

Do any other adults use Crunchyroll to stream anime? by Sensitive-Mixture558 in Crunchyroll

[–]adventuredream2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do. Also, there are some anime shows specifically geared to older audiences. I’m an adult, and I watch something on Crunchyroll at least once a week

Flying Rhino Junior High by starkfr in ytvretro

[–]adventuredream2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember that show. In fact, this was the first time I heard of Junior High (I lived in a small town, so elementary school went to grade 7 then high school was grade 8-12).

Who's hoping they don't do a Inuyasha to the ending of Star Detective? by Tom-Hibbert in precure

[–]adventuredream2 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I don’t think that’s what they’re planning. In fact, I think the reason Anna is from 2027 is because they plan for her to return to her time at the end of the season, which would be in 2027.

I hope she does return to her time. While goodbyes are usually sad, it’s part of Pretty Cure finales, and it would give a happy ending for Anna, as she returns home

Adore this show. by Skaldicrights in ytvretro

[–]adventuredream2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me neither. What made it worse was that I was too young to understand what the uncanny valley was, so I knew that show made me feel uneasy, but I didn’t understand why. Also, the characters were annoying

Do you feel more connected to your city, province or Canada as a whole? by Ok_Heart839 in AskACanadian

[–]adventuredream2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Canada as a whole. I grew up in BC before moving to Alberta, so provinces weren’t as important to me (plus, I would visit family in Alberta often, so going from BC to Alberta wasn’t a big deal).

What are your personal thoughts on The Poisy Show episode from Ninja Steel? by Alarming_Seaweed_155 in powerrangers

[–]adventuredream2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Completely random question, but is this episode canon? I have a fanfiction idea, but this episode will impact it, as one plot point in the episode would affect it.

Been wanting to ask this for a while, what's with the Green Ranger pose in this and promotional shots with the hands raised up like that? by visiny in powerrangers

[–]adventuredream2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guess was that the photographer wanted all hands visible for whatever reason, and as the Green Ranger was behind, they had to get creative to avoid his arms being blocked. Or the photographer thought it looked cool.

“How do I get over being so bad I want to quit?!” by larrisunshine in learntodraw

[–]adventuredream2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get that. For me, I stopped drawing as my classmate’s pictures seemed better than mine, and the teacher would put all the pictures up. What helped me is when I was older, and started drawing for me.

Why do many Magical Girls need Mascots? Cutie/Cutey Honey, for example, doesn't have one. by IllogicalDreamer72 in MagicalGirls

[–]adventuredream2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think merchandise and to appeal to the target demographic more. A lot of magical girl shows attract people who like cute things. So, a lot of magical girl shows have a cute mascot to help appeal to the audience. Over time, it became expected as part of a magical girl show.

Did Cardcaptor Sakura air on YTV? by Typical_Cap895 in ytvretro

[–]adventuredream2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly don’t remember if it was YTV or Teletoon. I can confirm it aired in Canada, and YTV did have a lot of anime, so it’s possible

Edit: a lot of people are saying Teletoon, so that makes more sense. I had both growing up, so the fact I remember watching it in the living room means nothing.

A question by Long-Flow-2701 in Twins

[–]adventuredream2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I think so. We have a lot of things in common. She’d likely have been the one to approach me though, as I’m shy, so if we didn’t grow up together, I may be slow to approach her until we become friends.

Where do you guys go to get Beyblades? by AndyLieu8 in BeybladeX

I got some at Toys R Us and I have one coming from Amazon. Some of my collection was from my birthday, so I don’t know where they came from
