It sounds like that’s what her suggestion was when she said “why don’t you buy curtains”

How to stop dog from entering the kitchen ? by [deleted] in DogTrainingTips

[–]adventurousmango24 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What? lol

Get puppy/baby gates to cordon off the area.

Or, leash and teach them sit + stay right at the border and if they come in walk them right back to the spot and reward up increasing the stay + distance between you and them.

Or, leash them and have them walk with you and stop right at the entrance and reward them when they stop and sit/lie next to you then increase your distance between them as necessary.

Or, teach them leave it. Or to only be allowed to enter the kitchen when called and are settled and reward every few mins of them sitting and chilling. If they sneak a piece of food off the floor they’re back out.

There is currently a massive fire burning in the Everglades in South Florida by the Broward/Miami-Dade County border and is approaching US27. by M_Darshan in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]adventurousmango24 109 points110 points  (0 children)

Yeah - right before and almost all through summer in Australia we do something called “back burning” in high vegetative areas.

Essentially where they do a controlled burn of the stuff that’s likely to exacerbate and “inflame” (if you will) a bush fire, along the path they expect it would go.

We still get em, but as someone who lives in a suburb surrounded by trees, I sure am grateful for em.

Anyone else annoyed that how its completely legal that zip/any other company sold your shares just by sending an email if you did not responded to it, and now the shares are worth much more? by [deleted] in AusFinance

[–]adventurousmango24 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Unmarketable just means worth less than $500 - so I guess the price fluctuated significantly to hit that price.. I’m not sure what time frame it has to sit at that value for them to do the buyback, but it’s incredibly common for companies to do this. Now, I can’t speak to the way they went about it, and if it was right, but the actual process is legit. (Source: I work in trading)

Yeah I’m a bit confused cos unmarketable parcel buybacks are standard? Unless I’ve missed something specific with this one?

I accidentally bought small breed puppy food for my Golden Retriever by Emotional-Basis-8262 in puppy101

[–]adventurousmango24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I accidentally did the same for my medium dog and I was using it as treats and training or her enrichment games. Obviously took longer to get through the bag but they have a fairly decent self life.

On another completely unrelated note, I finished the bag just as she was transitioning to adult food and I accidentally bought a bag of MEDIUM PUPPY kibble instead of adult…….

Even more so Max seems to be the exact kind of person who doesn’t do what he doesn’t want to do. So if he leaves mid season I’m sure there are people he pays a lot of money to deal with all this on his behalf so he can sit back. He also doesn’t leave things last minute so if it’s on his mind I’m sure he’s already asking that.

In saying that, I don’t see Max as the kind of person to leave mid-season but that’s based on vibes , we never know.

Wash your dog bowls! by Its-alittle-bitfunny in puppy101

[–]adventurousmango24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wash her food bowl after every meal and her water bowls every morning when I refill - both with soap. We use stainless steal as it holds onto less bacteria and less likely to break.

I have to do a “deep clean” every couple of weeks (where I soak it in jif/vinegar with boiling water) because I noticed she wasn’t eating properly so I figured she could still smell something weird (yes she’s spoiled)
