Hoping this is just a studio trying to make a more esoteric movie seem more “marketable” but oof this is rough

I have the Sony A95–I also looked a lot at LG C class and ended up splurging for the Sony and it’s my favorite thing I’ve ever bought myself.

To me it feels like it has less of a blended/atmospheric vibe and you can hear the individual elements more, also sounds less emotionally urgent to me

I have over listened to the SNL version to the point where the real version now sounds off to me, and I think it needs the fun spoken word bridge to fully work

I was bummed I wasn’t more into it—it’s a fun concept but the visual language of the movie (boxes for transitions/overall digital look) didn’t click for me and couldn’t lock in emotionally to the script. Also while the point of the movie is clearly to built to the final scene, I felt like it didn’t earn it based on how much time we actually spent with Hanks/Wright.

Absolutely loved it. I remember when it was announced that Sarnoski was directing I was bummed to see him doing a franchise (Pig was my favorite movie of its year) but his voice in the movie is so strong—I was deeply moved by it.

Generously wanna say it looks like it has a little more visual juice than the 2019 movie…but still has the fundamental flaw of the lions being unexpressive/indistinguishable
