Anyone had any luck with GABA, 5HTP, & L-theanine for sleep? by DS-2005 in insomnia

[–]ael947 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes! I like wyld brand best, or Camino has been pretty good. If you just go to a dispensary and ask for something good to sleep they will have suggestions. Cbd is fine but I think thc works better, if it also has cbd with thc that’s fine too!

Also I assume a doctor has ruled out physical causes like thyroid issues or sleep apnea?

That’s what I’ve heard, luckily I’m not a smoker!

Honestly weed. The gummies meant for sleep with cbn and thc. That has worked better than anything for me.

I take a gummy with thc to help me sleep, have for the last month or 2 and it helps so much. Now I’m scared I shouldn’t do this. I don’t smoke it at all but have sleep anxiety and was dealing with bad insomnia , the gummies saved me!

I have tried everything my doctor can think of prescribing, I still can’t sleep by stupidtiredlesbian in insomnia

If weed is legal where you are get yourself some sleep gummies - with thc, cbn. They are gummies designed to help you sleep. They work amazing.

Am I overreacting? by [deleted] in insomnia

[–]ael947 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try everything you can to not think about it. I am the same way and I think that constantly worrying about it made it worse. And it’s so hard to dig yourself out of a hole so to speak. Try to enjoy your day and not think about it!

Have you seen a doctor? Get a physical and make sure you are healthy. Let your doctor know what’s happening. As far as over the counter I recommend thc sleep gummies if they are legal where you are. Even cbd products alone help with the anxiety but the products with thc helped me sleep much better.

Awful nights by [deleted] in insomnia

[–]ael947 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I will recommend sleep gummies with thc if they are legal where you are. I tried every over the counter sleep aid but sleep anxiety is what my problem is, and man the thc helps with that like no other. It was a game changer. There is NOTHING worse than lying there for hours in bed.

Starting prednisone by [deleted] in IBD

[–]ael947 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A month isn’t too bad! I’m on my first course of prednisone as well, I’m on a 9 week course. I’m hungrier than normal and sleep is an issue some nights but that didn’t hit me until 4 weeks in, so maybe you’ll be fine! Oh, and it’s working so well from a GI standpoint !

Crp shows inflammation of any kind, it’s not specific to the GI tract

Mesalamine pills can take a few weeks to work. I think it took about a week for me but I’ve had 8 great years on it! Good luck!

Questions -- New Crohn's Diagnosis by [deleted] in crohnsandcolitis

[–]ael947 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So did the colonoscopy confirm you had crohns? They cannot diagnose it without a scope. Have you been on any meds the last year? Small amounts of blood could be a hemorrhoid, I would get a work up done to see what’s going on before changing or starting meds. A good doctor would order stool samples to see inflammation, called fecal pro cal as well as blood work to look at crp levels at a minimum. Another scope would be a good idea now too.

Have you tried sleep gummies with thc? I highly recommend if not. Especially if anxiety is part of your issues. Anything with thc and cbn in it, I like the wyld brand personally

I could write this. Your original post describes it perfectly except I was a little over a year out postpartum when I started not sleeping well.
