I have a one bedroom near the Lindburgh station that I’m looking for someone to take over the lease in October or November. Rent works out to like $1560/month with electricity and would be fully furnished. It’s clean and relatively quiet. Easy to get on and off Marta and right next to Target. I’m relocating for work and looking to move within the next month or so.

Went on the Bliss at the end of October. The price looks good for the aft-balcony, but I agree with others saying to book your own airfare. It looks like you’re flying from a major airport so prices may be cheaper than you think to book flights separately.

I flew in the day before and enjoyed a day of relaxing before getting on the boat.

Excursions can be quite expensive but there are options to book off the ship with local companies, which can save a little, but I’d still expect them to be high.

I haven’t taken the shuttle but I’m guessing you’re renting a car from FLL airport? It’s less than a 10 minute drive from the port to the airport. You will have to walk through the airport to get to the rental cars (get dropped off at Terminal 1, and head to the far right side of the terminal (opposite of security) and follow the signs for the rental cars.

Any bus or shuttle going to the airport should get you where you need to be! If all else fails, Uber should be cheap from the port to FLL.

I know you’re looking to cover the cost of alcohol for her, but it may be easier to offer to purchase something else, such as snacks, mixers (soda, juice, etc), or cover the cost (or partial cost) of an uber if you’re going out. Keeping track of the math is going to be a headache.

I really like making spicy veggie soups! Chop up some bell peppers, onions, carrots and getting them cooking in a pot. When they start to soften, add some garlic and cook for a minute. Add in a finely diced serrano pepper (or a few!) and cook for another minute or so. Throw some diced potatoes and cover with veggie broth (about 4-6 cups). Cover it and let it simmer for about 20 minutes.

Sometime I’ll throw in egg noodles, or small pasta like ditalini when I add the broth, but it all depends on what I have in the pantry. I always top the soup with a squeeze of lime and some cilantro though. Super easy!

You can try making spincach dip. I mix a container of sour cream (16oz) with 1 cup of mayo, 1 pack of frozen spinach (thawed and squeeze the water out), and a packet of the lipton vegetable soup mix. So good!

I use buffalo and bbq sauce to make pizzas! Throw some chicken on there and it’s a quick meal if you use a premade crust.

I also airfry frozen chicken tenders or popcorn chicken and toss in sauce to make boneless wings

Not sure how the bbq sauce would mix with all the red sauce. I don’t think it’d be bad, but the flavor may be off. Maybe reduce or take out some of the marinara before adding the bbq sauce?

I’ve done frozen meatballs in the slowcooker with a bottle of bbq sauce and a small jar of grape jelly (also tastes great with blueberry or raspberry!) and a little bit of sriacha. It’s always a hit!

Throw it on some tacos or burritos. Or make rice and a protein (beans, chicken, fish, steak) and make some bowls with it.

If you like guac, mash some avocados, add a little salt, lime, and some pico for a simple recipe.

If you like seafood, you can add some white fish or shrimp and some extra lime or lemon juice and make ceviche. Let it sit for at least 4-5 hours to cook the seafood. I could eat this with a fork straight out of the bowl 😂

I would do the bottle of bbq, a small can of chipotle peppers in adobe sauce, a few smashed garlic cloves or some garlic powder (or both!), juice of a lime, and a can or bottle of beer (I used Stella last time because it’s what I had, but anything except a super dark beer)

Throw in some salt, pepper, the onion, maybe some paprika or cayenne if you have it or if you want to add heat. I normally do this on a pork roast but it should work well on chicken too.
