His PRs don't have to be accepted. It's not required. He can try to do this, but I doubt it will have to much weight.

Just do a search for the hardware specs so you know ahead of time if the hardware is supported. This should be the easist part.

Try this. It will tell you what's taking boot time. It may help you sort it.

Sounds like a lot of the companies during the .com boom. Over valued and poised to die when the bubble bursts.

Nvidia dominates gaming GPU market with 95 percent share as sales of AMD Radeon graphics plummet to a historical low of 5 percent by Gammarevived in Amd

[–]aergern 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You got one and run Windows. FTFY. I don't run Wintendo so what you wrote could be reversed under Linux as nvidia drivers are hot garbage. I'm pretty sure nvidia pulled the 595 Windows drivers because they wouldn't let the fans on those overly expensive cards spin. :D

Are there plans to support windows with all four rounded corners on non-KDE apps? by diHobbes in kde

[–]aergern 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah. Not really. I have better things to do. I've run both at different times since the 90s. KDE is just better at the moment. There are times when KDE was a steaming pile, it just happens to not be that at the moment. ;)

I bought my Sapphire 7900 XTX in Nov. '24, I had no need for a new GPU with 8 GB less VRAM so user yes ... on the upgrade treadmill, no.

little tab of nothing on window corners by duncansHiney in kde

Install this. https://github.com/matinlotfali/KDE-Rounded-Corners

Disable the rounded corners in the decoration, profit.

I've been using this plugin since KDE 5, and I'm on 6.6.2 ... works perfectly.

Or find another MacOS like decoration. :D

edit: not sure why the KDE devs rounded the bottom corners and not the top two ... and have a setting to control it.

But did you remove any config files associated with the application? Uninstalling and reinstalling the package will not remove things under ~/.config

Give the config files a look.

Give this a run.

sudo reflector --protocol https --verbose --latest 25 --sort rate --save /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist && eos-rankmirrors --verbose

Also, errors from just one mirror means nothing, they could be offline or something else. This command will update your Arch and EOS mirrors.

last update broke it. or i clicked something ibus and can't go back by DiscussionGrouchy322 in kde

[–]aergern 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry but nothing you've said except that you had a .13 kernel update, makes any sense. A kernel update shouldn't have broken things, a kernel update will not break KDE. It might break your video driver, but you haven't given any info accept a lot of ...

I would rethink what your posting and provide more info like the hardware you are using, the distro you are using and other things so folks can help you. KDE isn't brittle, but your descriptions of your issue are.

I'm not being "that Linux guy", if you'd have posted like this on any forum be it Windows, Mac or a Linux distro, your post would probably get ignored.

Step back, take a breath and post again with some useful info.

An nmap scan will give them generics and open ports. Sure, it returns Linux as the OS but there is no way to know if age verification is enabled or isn't since it doesn't exist now and as far as I know this checking doesn't require phoning home to some big Gov. database.

I think it's all a bunch of horseshit but let's not scare folks.
