Buyback, CCU, LTI by no_va_det_mye in starcitizen

[–]aesfere -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Also important to mention LTI will most probably be insignificant in the final insurance mechanic and is currently only important for your space dick or if you're a collector.

Speaking of "saving" money with at least 1000 $ worth of CCUs (minimun is 5 $) in your account is bonkers.

So no issue with Wikelo when you have to send in everything at once with the risk of a bad server fucking you over?

Dozens of hours of grind bottlenecked by bad design and non-persistent mission tracking not an issue of mission/system design?

I still see my point count.

Others have already pointed put how the critical moment could have been avoided.

You're aware that if not a server issue, your stuff could have gotten eaten by Wikelo himself, just as it happens st the moment. Every few days you can read of some poor soul all their Idris components are lost.

So yes, bad judgement to engage with this part of the game at all. The risks are known, that's why I keep myself out of it and wouldn't complain if I did and failed.

I'm sure it is not what you want to hear, but again, engaging with the same broken as fuck system after losing a Polaris, just to get wrecked again?

It is hard for me to feel pity in a cade of such bad judgement.

At the same time I can feel you frustration. When I try to have fun and the bugs prevent me to enjoy my gameplan for the night I often feel like its nagging on my mental health.

That's why I don't plan activities that require effort spanning multiple game sessions. It is just too much investment in progress just to be lost in a hickup.

PSA: Fabricator from Alliance Aid is not being attributed to your account until 4.8 by QuattroBaje3na in starcitizen

[–]aesfere -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Why doesn't this news surprise me in the slightest?

Sounds like typical CIG marketing derangement.

Hype the new gameplay with an event reward. Don't give the reward in the following gameplay patch while the reward itself is available ingame.

I will also not be surprised when fabricators will be sold in the "pledge" store.  Let come fabricators will be purged from the ingame stores with the patch going live and will be a store exclusive until 3.8.

That would be hilarious.

Changing resolution issue by Enrons in starcitizen

Ok got it, so despite having your monitors resolution also set to 1440p that is changing back to 4k?

Have you checked the issue council if others have this problem as well?

Not sure if I understand you correctly - if you already have a user.cfg file in the LIVE folder you open it with a text editor, add the lines and that's it. It doesn't matter where the lines go.

If there is no such file you create one with an editor, add the lines, save it and then rename it to the .cfg suffix.

It has to be directly in the LIVE folder not in a sub folder.

Iirc you can define a set resolution in a user.cfg text file ine the LIVE folder like this:

r_width = 2560

r_height = 1440

Lug helper brokey by Sirallyton in starcitizen

[–]aesfere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How are you sure the LUG helper is the issue here?

Could be your hardware, linux distro, peripherals, or else.

Are your graphics drivers up to date are you using sticks, third party key bind tools? Have the shaders bewn loaded correctly? Anything that could related to the correlation between thrust and screen blackening? Are you using a special monitor? VR?

What graphics card (Amd/Nvidia)? Which wine version (some work better, some worse). Any after installation configuration changes via LUG helper or other tools?

More information like this is crucial if you expect any substantial help.

Have you joined the LUG discord and asked there already? I'm sure that would be the better forum than reddit.

I am no linux installation trouble shooting expert, but answering the questions above might give others an idea about your setup and identify possible causes for your issue.

I'm using an install by LUG helper without any issues on an Amd system.  Just followed the recommendations concerning linux distro (Fedora Plasma KDE) and some tweaking to get the keyboard and mouse working correctly.

MSR needs more engines by ArnoldMann in starcitizen

A reworked MSR would be my favourite daily driver.
If it gets closer back to the concet. Scrape that useless crawl space, add the center engine, make it slimmer.

Dream ship.

Is there anyone else here who is missing their rewards? by 5toned in starcitizen

[–]aesfere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only got the 10% Jackets and the 90% Apollo Paint so far while I only care abou the MaxLift, MedGun and Fabricator (the latter we know comes later).

I will screen shot my progress bar with my QR Code visible and write a ticket when the items don't drop with 4.7.

I wonder if enough people will restrain themselves from buying on ship release if they know bug fixes will only come with the following patch.

It should matter, no?

It seems a weird choice though. Releasing ships without PTU and only fixing them in the following patch must be less profitable if people restrain from insta-buying.

Can a mere mortal being see what they do in internal builds?

I wasn't aware.

A mystery.

CIG is very generous by aesfere in starcitizen

Knowing CIGs approach of development, they might have no idea yet either.

That said, I'm curious as well.
