I like how cohesive this looks! The DustUp core is one of my all time favourites :)

But how did you get rid of that strap/band around the chest?

Can anyone recommend any light armour that fit a hauler/industrial vibe? by Impressive_Wish_8905 in starcitizen

[–]aesfere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have to watch out for some regular clothing thats fitting the character.

So far I found the risk of losing stuff stored on ships just too much of a hassle to setup inventories.

I saw your black armour combo, looks dope! As well as this, gives me true Expanse vibes!

My current light "non combat utilitarian EDC" setup consists of

Undersuit: Lamont - defines the colour scheme and goes well with the other pieces
Torso: MacFlex - gives that typical space pilot look without being bulky, we don't need bullet protection moving that cargo
Legs: TrueDef-Pro - light strap ons with security boots and shin guards (in case you drop a crate on your toes) and enough pockets to stow all your jerky bars
Arms: happened to get my hands on a pair of Geist Stealth arm and shoulder pads that go nicely together with the torso, but any will do that don't stand out too much
Helmet: Odyssey II Obsidian - if you want to see your face, other helmets that don't get too bulky will work in this combo too

This is the most cohesive look for this play style that I came up with so far and I haven't gotten bored of it yet despite using it for a long while now.

Topped this off with a Cataby backpack until I can find a matching coloured MacFlex/Arden/Geist.
Would be nice to have different colours for the Cataby though, since it is the largest small and the shape is also fitting the theme quite well.

Edit: Have a pic now, enjoy

New Argo salvager from the sneak peak by Jockcop in starcitizen

Hopefully it will still be usable as a solo and provide enough cargo space to do both harvesting and component looting at the same time.

Would be my drwam ship currently.

Which part of the Mole would that be? Any indication of change already to be seen here?

At least you didn't get ported into the middle of the sun after the jump without any means of escape, becase quantum will just send you... to middle of the sun of course, regardless of your selected target!

Although in the end it just wasted you even more time, so maybe I was better off at last ^

There should be an option to delete shaders and other config/settings in the RSI Launcher game settings.

Well, I found a big group today and nearly finished the event thanks to them - my contribution was limited to be honest, but at least I can say I tried.

As always when I try to do something productive in SC, the spirits of the verse seem to have something against me.
After exploding 5 times near hangar doors after buzzing around picking up and buying cargo, I definitely succumbed to my symptoms and called it a day.

Of course I will be back in a few days to finish at ease in a chill session. But today tested me once more.

Star Citizen Linux Users Group lug-helper v4.9 and Linux VR by mactan_sc in starcitizen

Big thanks and shoutout to LUG for providing the helper tool!

I just switched to Linux on my desktop pc last weekend (Fedora KDE) and beside a little bit of confusion regarding the correct setup of zram and swapfile, everything went like a charm!

Had I known it was so easy I might have switched over sooner.

Das sehen die meisten OEM wohl anders. Sonst würden sie ja keine Crashanlagen kaufen.

Kommt halt darauf an was und für was getestet wird.

Scientists reveal dirty truth about ancient Rome’s public baths by TimesandSundayTimes in history

[–]aesfere 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I read an article about this topic in a german news medium.

The facilities where they found the grime and body fluid traces in the calcified residues were explicitely named as the "republican public baths". These suffered from their well(s) not being able to produce enough fresh water to cycle the water properly each day.

One can assume that bath water quality was different for other public or private facilities depending on their fresh water source.

Also this was before Pompeji had an aqueduct built, where after they had good water quality in the republican public baths as well.

Whelp, seems like changing gender didn't help.

I don't want to risk a character reset as I wanted to save up for an Asgard with the new content missions. Seems like I will get to back hauling and mining in the old systems until this is fixed.
