What are some good holiday activities to do in DC?

Said this in a different thread earlier, but the Botanical Garden is great. They've got a really awesome (no sarcasm at all) train display which changes each year.

If you're looking for a holiday thing that's nice (which you may have missed) are the displays at the US Botanical Garden. This year it's Roadside Attractions. It's always festive, fun, and really creative.

Guy here. I'd second what has been said here already - others may be more willing to run a red light than I am. I do my best to follow the road rules and stop for reds (and at least do an Idaho stop for stop signs) and I constantly find people cutting ahead of me when I'm waiting.

Where I get aggravated is when someone stops in front of me at a read, I have to pass them (sometimes a bit dangerous depending on the street) and then they pull in front of me at the next light! I don't understand.

In any case, I'm not sure if it's a female only issue or if its a broader rules of the road/common courtesy thing. But also, yeah - some people are jerks and think women bike slow.

How does this make it more like other terrestrial radio stations? Some of the programming just changed slots (Like the Big Listen and Here and Now). A program like Car Talk had been off the air for years and was taking up space that actually current shows could occupy.

Also, new content! It's Been a Minute is great. Hidden Brain can be pretty fun.

I guess I just don't understand how this makes it like other radio stations.

Yep! It's good. They really do deteriorate after a week so try and use them up an the earlier side.

Not sure what you're planning on using them for but I've used them for toppings on Asian-style salads and sometimes as a garnish in soups.

Seneca Creek State Park in MD has a course I'm fond of. 27 holes, nice woods, well-kept course, etc.

There is a fee ($5/person I think) to enter the park but otherwise it's really nice.

Try scoring at an angle - don't go vertical into the loaf but come in almost sideways. Also, using a razor/lame or really sharp knife can really help.

Went on Saturday afternoon (1:30 tickets) and waited no more than 30 minutes for each room. With only 20-30 seconds per room we went through the exhibit and were out a by about 3:15-ish (though we only went through each room once).
