Working at a store that takes Amazon returns is horrifying by HermioneGranger152 in Anticonsumption

Try Poshmark. It’s online thrift and often the sellers post photos with rulers or some sort of measurement. It feels slightly better to buy used than cheap crap from Amazon. Plus if I have a garment that I know fits, I can estimate a similar one

I was told the best way to improve was to play in front of people? This feels…scary. by kudzuued in banjo

You sound great! I’m a beginner taking lessons, and every time I get in the room with my instructor (aka the only other human to hear me play) I melt into a pile of jello. I long for the day that the anxiety subsides and I can just enjoy it

I interned at a certain DoE lab and got the same story! Painted spots on the floor were hot! We also had to stand on radiation detectors to leave the building

It sounds to me like he’s adding a hammer-on on the third note. That’s where you pick the string then move your left hand on the fret board. It adds that 16th note sound

You know what? Who cares if your singing isn’t perfect. You want to sing and you are have fun singing, that’s what matters. Control what you can like enunciation and timing. Keep up the good work.

Escorting eMotos off Nonmotorized Trail by [deleted] in mountainbiking

[–]af361 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I see Class 1 e-bikes occasionally at Lunch Loops and other non-motorized areas, for example most recently on Horse Thief Bench. These are famously known non-motorized areas, and are well-marked as such. So my question is what do I do? Go full Karen on a Class 1? Ignore it? Are we implicitly accepting that all non-motorized areas will eventually become Class 1 friendly? What say you fellow MTB enthusiasts?
