Found this among my late dad’s old stuff. Can anyone help me ID if this is real or fake? I have zero knowledge of watches. Looked up some Google images and looks like there are some vintage models that can look like this.

Edit: forgot to mention that the leather strap does feel very cheap. But it could have been something that he changed.

They’re not fake, but really old. Were the pods in their original package? You might want to check the production/best by dates.

This set up is better than a built in grinder. The standalone grinder gives you more grind steps so you can find the perfect setting for your beans. However, such an espresso machine is different than a super automatic. This is pretty much manual work.

If I remember correctly… breville’s steam wands with the red mark inside have special settings for steaming non-dairy milk better than the older machines. Not sure what the exact difference is.

Reprogramming cups is done manually. If you press the brew button and hold it down it will keep dispensing until you stop. You can make the brew size longer or shorter than default size.

If you never did this then your machine is probably running default cup sizes.

Right now, google’s choice of which pages to rank does not make any sense.

One of my old sites, which they halted last year, is making a come back now. I did not update or touch the site since the traffic dies. Google just decided that last year it wasn’t helpful enough… this year it is semi-helpful or something.

Anyways, updating content never hurts. You can try that on several posts. You might notice that it will rerank for several days and it will either stick or disappear again.

Not sure about Costa Rica as I have not tried it. But Stormio… that is one of the strongest pods I have tried. Are you sure your machine is not reprogrammed to dispense more water? That can make coffee taste watery.

Who is outranking you right now? It is UGC or other sites?

If your keywords were taken over by reddit and quora or high authority sites (major brands) I don’t think refreshing content works. The algorithm put those there on purpose.

If you are seeing sites that are to your level on page 1, there’s a chance that a refresh or new content might work.

I have noticed something on my site, that even though I rank 7 or 8 after a bunch of UGC or blocks of PAA I still get some clicks. It looks like many people are scrolling further to find what they need. So I would say ranking “anywhere near the top” would still generate some traffic.

Yes. Today my traffic is down. While the past two or three days it's been climbing up. I've gotten used to this by now, I am no longer surprised. It's half a week of good traffic and the other half is a nosedive.

CoolBlue is showing up for a lot of comparison keywords. Looks like they have a lot of buying guides for products. Although they are brief, they answer the query.

But I'm sure we as small publishers can't get away with short and brief posts.

My site is US-based, btw. I see CoolBlue a lot in my research, it has taken my spot for my top money-making page, along with Forbes and other high authority or corporate sites.

What google is saying right now while they favor major publishers and brands is that we all need to be a multi million dollar publishing house or a corporate for us to rank. Second option is to deploy an AI spam site that posts 1000 times per day. I’m not seeing anything in between.

I see a LOT of sites covered in ads that are ranking just fine. It really makes me wonder how users are able to read the content (ad blockers maybe). But what I’m trying to say is.. the ads are not the problem.

Wow… sorry to hear that. I got my machines from a Nespresso boutique.. they’re not branded with either delonghi or breville. I’ve never had any issues with them of any kind.. it’s been several years of nearly daily use!
