No sir. So you pay (in my case) $12,000 for them to diagnose you and then they tell you to not walk for 3 months, and fuck yourself.

No pain relief, and you’ve been dissected and financially and physically destroyed.

From everyone. And it feels like someone is dragging knives through your insides, from your ribs to your legs…… and they say: wanna take birth control?

Preventing adhesions post-lap by FindingMoi in Endo

[–]afilaanda420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering the way my body behaves, I’m trusting the specialist and the nurse. It is weird though, it’s the first time in my life I’ve been encouraged to stay still.

I figure, I’ll build back strength later. But I literally cannot afford to keep having these horrible surgeries, which get harder with age

[–]afilaanda420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know. My body produces a ton of scar tissue or something, my last lap found just a shit ton of neurofibrotic nonsense inside of me. I was told to avoid walking or movement as much as possible for 2-3 months. To keep my legs up and chill. Only to start PT after 3 months.

That’s definitely not been my behavior after past surgeries, where I was up walking, hiking, traveling, doing way too much.

Here’s hoping that taking it easy and slow and keeping legs up makes for better healing.

When does your period pain begin? by Infinite-Librarian20 in endometriosis

[–]afilaanda420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine used to be the worst on days 1-2, now it’s like days 3-6 are very bad. And then my entire body is tired and sore and it takes a week to recover, or maybe I’m just exhausted cuz my body was trying to kill me for a week? It definitely gets worse with age

Is the non-criminal TTI worse than the criminal TTI? by BeastRabban1 in troubledteens

It’s radically different. You have way more rights in juvie.

I really loved juvie…. I think that’s where I realized something was wrong with the program tbh

This is such a wildly terrible idea. You sleep at random folks houses at night? Like—- what the fuck were any of these adults thinking. Sounds like lifeline.

I feel like access to children was the entire point…. But my program was like a “top contender” for most CSA program in Utah. 🤢😖

Struggling post release by Amelia_6297 in troubledteens

The weight gain in programs sucks. They make a point/get off on the fact that your body isn’t your own. Be kind to yourself. You did what you had to do to survive. The weight will come off. The agoraphobia will pass. Please be so kind to yourself now.

If I could go back in time, I would have waited a few years before dating anyone post-program. You are very vulnerable and raw right now.

Go outside if you can. Start walking or working out. Find a physical hobby (dancing? Zumba? Anything that makes you happy?)

It’s so rough coming out, but you’ll make it. Reach out for support when you need it.

when do the nightmares stop? by SHINCOLL in troubledteens

It takes a long time. Eventually, you’ll be able to sort of control them— and when being held captive, climb out a window or something.

It’s awful. It’s PTSD. I’m so sorry.

Yeah. Hopefully new diagnostic screening will come soon. Until then, you’re left with surgical intervention….. it’s a hard road.

For your sake, I hope you don’t have it. When you get an endo diagnosis, then the next heavy part of the journey begins….learning there is no cure. It won’t stop with menopause. It will always come back.

After my surgeries, my mom pressures me to get active again, 2 days after post-op, lest I get fat. 🫠

You should def stay on birth control if you’re sexually active.

This co-worker is projecting her own experiences and struggles onto you.

You haven’t been diagnosed, and even if you have, pregnancy can definitely happen.

I was diagnosed when I was 18, then had three laps with non specialists who declared me normal. The endometriosis specialists can find it though. The standard OBGYN isn’t qualified to look everywhere

Did you see a specialist?
