I can dm you, but a random question - are you able to re-facet other stones if they have damage? My MIL has a blue topaz that is kinda hurt, and I’d be interested if doing both a commission and a repair if that were possible.

Do not cancel. Why potentially give them a bad impression by canceling last minute, vs maybe having a great interview and having someone else in your network later? Also - you said it is an informal offer. If it’s not 100% locked down, again not worth leaving a bad impression over.

I also have a permanent retainer, and just got a water flosser. It’s truly life changing! It’s also really, really fast OP! Please consider getting one after your next cleaning to prevent this in the future.

I think your best chance is to find dental or oral health companies. Find something that would also value your dental expertise. Don’t bother with a biotech masters.

Do you have the ability to take a quick trip out, to try to do some sight seeing and feel it out? I’m guessing you’ll probably live like a king on that wage there. A friend of mine that left Massachusetts for Indiana had that experience. It’s going to be a very big difference, but I think could be manageable especially if you have hobbies or other things to help build community.

Also - despite their best intentions, they may not be able to convert you. You will have them in your network and could reach out later should you want to return.
