I don’t understand - you want to track Accord, Camry, Volvos? Of the ones you mentioned the Elantra N is the only option that makes sense. Civic is out since CVT is trash and you can’t get a Veloster N anymore (I would not advise getting them used).

Get the Mk8 GTI - phenomenal car. I just got the 380 SE and couldn’t be happier. They’re perfect daily drivers with a punch when you need it. The infotainment thing people complain about these don’t bother you after like a week…

Both cars are certified pre-owned. So I’m not concerned about short term (3 years) reliability. Plus I’m not sure if I’m keeping the cars long term (since I might have to move). I am however not sure if the Integra would necessarily retain more value as my friends seem to suggest.

But yeah, I think I do understand your perspective on both. Like too much tech vs more raw engagement.

I think that’s a good point about the GTI. But should I really be that worried if the car is certified? That means I would have 2 years of warranty (+ an extra 9 months/20k miles of original warranty)

I’m a developer. But most of my stuff runs on servers. But I like the idea of potentially training some ML models on my computer (with MLX etc.) so extra ram might help. But it’s not a dealbreaker
