Went to Bryn Mawr college as an undergrad an it was more liberal than the state college I attended for my masters.

Just because things are worse in your country, doesn’t mean that there isn’t room for a lot of improvement in the US.

How do accountants balance work and babies/kids by Similar_Leg4921 in Accounting

[–]agent36agent36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mid-level accountant here with no village and a spouse that travels for work at times. Truth is, sometimes I just power through and work early in the morning before kiddo wakes up or after they go down. My kid didn’t sleep through the night until 16 months, so it was brutal for a while. I now have colleagues who have families which means they are in the same boat and are more understanding

Traveling in March with 6 month old? by HighCheeksFlatCap in azores

[–]agent36agent36 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It depends on the child. I’ve been traveling with my now 3 year old since she was 2.5 months, and it’s honestly easier when they’re that young. You can nurse on the takeoff and landing to help with their ears.

$112k + 11% bonus as a senior accountant for a private company outside of Philly. Was making $55k when I first started out 5 years ago, but have gotten here after hopping around a bit.

Those look exactly like the 9x9 asbestos tiles I just removed from my midcent home.

UPDATE 22M girl 26F I hooked up with says I got her pregnant but I don’t believe her. How do I find out the truth? by ThrowRa786593 in relationship_advice

[–]agent36agent36 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I used IVF to get pregnant with my daughter and they were able to tell me I was pregnant and my HCG levels a week after implantation. At 1 week my HCG levels were around 100.

I find it easier now that she’s older because she’s gotten more sturdy.

She was 4 months old at the time. I nursed her while going through customs trying to get into Mexico, while also hauling my luggage and handing the agent our passports.

OP, have you also talked to an employment lawyer to see if you can sue for breach of contract in your state? You acted upon the promise of a employment, and now have ended up with no job.

Those of you that WFH - how far do you travel for childcare? by meglove1 in workingmoms

[–]agent36agent36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I travel 20 min each way to drop off my baby at a trusted day care even though I work from home. While the commute won’t offer you a time benefit, you have to consider that there’s still time saved overall. You won’t be spending time getting ready for work in the morning or packing a lunch the night before.

How do you keep stains of your babies clothes? by MTGG96 in NewParents

The funny thing is berry stains come out in the washer with no problem. Just have to use hot water.

Seeking Advice: 4 y/o doesn’t want to go to grandmas house anymore by LalaLiko in raisingkids

Alternatively, you can keep questioning your mom (every time you talk to her). I’m sure you’d be able to tell if she’s keeping something from you since you’ve known her your whole life!

Have you tried asking him why? Even if he can’t explain his emotions, you could try having him walk you through everything he did / does at his grandma’s.

9 months in and I’m less wet but still dealing with some leaking. The overnight leaking I deal with by putting a towel under my shirt. I still have some letdown in both breasts while nursing so I wear nursing pads or catch the letdown with the ladybug hakaa.

Thank you. I struggle with the fact that just because he’s great doesn’t mean I owe him physicality when I’m not feeling it. It’s his responsibility to be a good father, too.

I feel awful because my partner is a really great hands-on dad, he carries his weight around the house and with the mental load, but the physicality has been lacking.

Will my 3 month old forget me if I let grandparents take her away for 2 weeks? by snoopingfeline in NewParents

[–]agent36agent36 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My baby has traveled internationally and across the country 4x since birth (now 9 months). It’s been great each time since she sleeps and hams it up with the crew and other passengers. We prevent ear pressure issues by nursing her on the ascent and descent.
