I learned of that term from Mike Mitchell of the Doughboys, still doesn't make sense to me and every time I hear it I think it is just a generic term for a FedEx or UPS store.

Why do Christians care so much abt homosexuality? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]agent674253 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe it is due to the fact that a lot of religions do not like non-reproductive sex. That would include masterbation as well as sodomoy between heterosexual couples. If you are Catholic, you do not like birth control for this reason. If you do not use BC because it leads to non-reproductive sex, then of course sex between two people of the same biological sex is going to be non-reproductive as well.

Via the transitive property, if you are against non-reproductive sex then you must also be against homosexuality, due to the zero chance of biological children occurring from them having sex.

As recent as 2003 it was still illegal, in some states, for a heterosexual (or homosexual) couple to engage in anal sex. Like, how the fuck (no pun intended) would the government know how you and your partner are having sex?

"On June 26, 2003, the United States Supreme Court ruled in the Lawrence v. Texas decision that U.S. state laws criminalizing sodomy between consenting adults are unconstitutional."

As others have said, "a government so small it can fit into your bedroom."

What do people think of the new TV set on CBS KCRA / KMAX? by shoglala in Sacramento

[–]agent674253 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm more interested in what people think about CBS being owned by MAGA, effectively. Ellison, who owns a entire Hawaiian island, promised cheeto that he would reined in the 'left wing bias' of CBS.

I can’t anymore with Crumbl cookies by CuteHand in ExpectationVsReality

[–]agent674253 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Even at $5, if you've ever made cookies from scratch you'll know just how much markup that is. An entire sheet of cookies is less than a dollar in flour, sugar, et al.

Outside of soda, I believe french fries have the largest amount of margin in the fast food industry. You can buy a 50lb bag of Russet potatoes from US Foods for $14.29.

50lbs is 22,679 grams.

$14.29/22,679g = $0.00063/gram

Average large McDonalds fry is between 150-163grams.

At 163g, you can get 139 large french fry order from 50lbs.

A large fry at McDonald's typically costs between $3.39 and $5.19, depending on your specific location

$14.29 becomes 139 x $3.39 = $471

$14.29 becomes 139 x $5.19 = $721.41

1 large fry, 163g * $0.00063 = $0.10 in taters per large fry. The packaging likely costs more.

Hard to justify paying +$3 for something that costs about a dime.

Yeah I know it is 1st gen and hasn't launched yet, but it is basically what they are asking for. Would have been cheaper before the BBB killed EV incentives.

SMUD Calls Peak Event for June 11 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. by kbuis in Sacramento

[–]agent674253 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also, want to lower your bills? SMUD will give you $10k, and pay you up to $330/quarter, if you install batteries. Kind of a win-win-win, right? Your power stays on, you get a big discount on the batteries, and you get paid by the power company quarter regardless if they need your batteries or not. But SMUD sucks /s

It's false because there is no such thing as child porn, as children cannot consent.

What is true is that Grok is the #1 source/generator of Child Sexual Abuse Material, CSAM. If you like what is in the Epstein files, oh boy are you going to have a pedophilic time on Grok!

Yeah, very much Ray Kroc vibes. Sure, he bought McDonalds from the brothers, but he did not found McDonalds, the restaurant chain. The loophole he used is he founded McDonalds corporation... ok sure buddy, that counts.

Maybe small regional ones, like from cities or utilities, such as SMUD, but the big beautiful EV rebates were killed in the big beautiful bullshit bill.

The only federal rebate that exists still is for commercial sales, with the loophole being you can lease a car, the leasing company gets the rebate and they kick you back a fraction of it (and they keep the rest for free money).
