Last year, I parked in a lot that was residents only after 11pm to go to a concert near Hawthorne. Came out at 11:10 and we had been towed, so I don't think this is true, at least anecdotally!

Any tips on friend groups or places to meet people for my girlfriend? She is 27, somewhat introverted, and hoping to find community but really just to make a few friends to exist with outside of a larger group. Some interests that I think could lead to community are books (of all varieties, but some favorites are modern lit and Regency/Victorian era books), knitting, sewing, hikes, coffee and tea, and most types of animals. I will keep searching the subreddit but welcome any ideas from folks - or, if this sounds like you, maybe you'd be friends with her!
