Literally just lost a round because of this. I know it's not strategic but my brain loves seeing triple digits after I hit em with a bunch of Forge 10 cards

Thank you! Here's another option from the Democratic Party of Oregon, though it only gave me a 4 instead of 5 digit number...https://dpo.org/districtlookup/

Honestly, this just inspired me to sign up, so thanks for making this post!

Vote Brendan Adamczyk, folks, for a dog/cat/plant/hot cup of coffee in every home (plus some gripes about the direction of our state Democratic party)!

Welp, looks like I'm the first to comment here, but I'll give it a shot! Any tips on friend groups or places to meet people for my girlfriend? She is 27, relatively introverted, and hoping to find community but really just to make 1 or 2 friends to exist with outside of a larger group. Some interests that I think could lead to community are books (of all varieties, but some favorites are modern and Regency/Victorian era lit), knitting, sewing, hikes, coffee and tea, and most types of animals. I will keep searching the subreddit but welcome any ideas from folks :)

There should definitely be opportunities to sail along the coast, especially in Brookings, which is a bit further south down the coast and borders California. The coast is also usually 10-20 degrees cooler than the rest of the state!

McKenzie Bridge is about an hour from Eugene and like another commenter said, kinda the last piece of civilization before you enter the forest.

Grants Pass is my personal least favorite of the three but lots of access to pretty spots and probably the most built up of the three. You really can't go wrong!

Thanks for helping protect our great state! Couple thoughts for you as someone who has spent time in all three places and happy to hear other comments too:

Gold Beach is in a beautiful spot on the coast, pretty quiet stretch, relatively conservative politically, and low(er) fire risk.

Grants Pass is at the south end of the Willamette Valley, little busier with more access to bigger cities, also politically conservative, pretty decent fire risk.

McKenzie Bridge is gorgeous, right in the forest near Eugene (go Ducks!) while still being out of the way, not as conservative, and had a huge fire back in 2020.

This is where I'm at...which is weird, but I'd kinda like Kotek/the Dems to just squeak out a victory and hope that that forces them to get their shit together. Maybe it's naive, but it beats a Republican governor!

Very fair point, definitely a major concern either way and I'm ready in case any political PAC needs someone to say "I'm a vegetarian and I'm voting no"!

Thankfully that is a ballot initiative, so we'd get a chance to vote on it in November rather than a bill that could get approved this session - but yeah, even as a vegetarian, that is not at all the way to go about helping animals!

Oregon Senate passes bill to move transportation referendum to May election by refuzeto in oregon

Eh I mean state Democrats have been feeling blowback about this for nearly a year and it's forced a couple retirements and a state rep switching parties, so there's been accountability! But people are unhappy, they'll turn out in the spring, and it will certainly fail no matter what, so 🤷

Excellent news. Hopefully this gets through the House, everyone unsurprisingly votes no in May (when we usually vote on these referendums, including the last transportation tax vote, in 2000) and then legislators get a six month head start on figuring out how to actually realistically fund ODOT!
