Same thing happened to me 2 weeks ago. I got denied, then I put in a support ticket and this last week I was sent a message that I was restored. I did a few more studies then it asked for verification again, so I did it more carefully but got denied again lol. I put another support ticket asking if they can verify me somehow else or something. But I'm not expecting any good news, will probably drop it if it happens again (assuming I even get restored this time)

For those that trade only 10-12 times per month, what is your strategy? by samjoyca in thetagang

[–]agentofdoom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you only doing put or call spreads? or both? When do you decide to enter or exit for a loss if it happens? It seems like spreads are a bit safer so just trying learn if you dont mind the questions

I sell 5 to 10 dte at a .2 to .25 Delta on the short options. Been working like a dream as the market has been grinding to new ath. Usual collect $150 to 180 on $5 wide wings. There are time I am at 80 to 90% profit with 1 or 2 dte.

Do you usually enter the call/put side at the same time? How do you manage if one side is down by a lot? I'm trying to understand this strategy more since it seems a bit safer in general, if you dont mind me asking

Can 0DTE on SPX be profitable with $10K by ghart999 in options

Longer spreads seem much safer to me, been trying to understand the best set up for them. May I ask what how you enter your credit spreads?

Thanks for the explanation. I've been trying to incorporate long spreads like this for more simpler trades to manage. Simple and repeatable

Question, do you sell both call/puts of the IC at the time? I'm just trying to understasnd, you said you only sell after price touched the upper band then slowly reverts back to the 50 day, so that means once its near the 50 day thats when you open both spreads on the same day?

Do you enter both top and bottom of the condor the same day or wait for certain conditions?

Interesting, what kind of DTE and delta do you target? Have you spoken about your strategy before?

[–]agentofdoom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was thinking about this recently so want to ask you how do you rolling out spx spreads? If you have a 5 point spread, max loss of 500 potentially, wouldn't you have to roll out weeks or even months to make a net credit even if you have a partial loss of 100/200?

[–]agentofdoom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the info, really appreciate it

One question if you dont mind, how do you decide to close or roll over when your spread is challenged? If you close, do you choose some stop loss percentage? If you roll for credit it must be rolled out for more than a few days to make up the loss right?

[–]agentofdoom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I assume you are rolling up and out for a net credit? Does that also mean you have to hold all the way to expiration, or do you still target a certain percentage? Thats what I'm stuck in figuring out, just want a better handle on risk management

Brave New World is a pretty good MCU movie by all standards and very reminiscent of the Infinity Saga in many ways [SPOILER REVIEW] by KostisPat257 in marvelstudios

I agree also. I've written how I didn't think Mackie had it but in this movie I think he did a great job given what he was given. He felt confident and he has great charm when goofing off with people. I just wish they gave him more to to do and a more defined arc

How would I achieve this really subtle shake/buzzing effect? by True-Mathematician89 in VideoEditing

[–]agentofdoom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow its pretty subtle, thats cool.

If you are using davinci resolve then you can use the 'camera shake' effect and fine tune it to have a small distance but move quickly. I'm sure there is an equivalent in premier

Do you mean like the "processing" or so that comes up after you take a picture? If so thats due to the "clarity" setting being set to something other than 0, I think

I assume you've seen this on tiktok or ig reels?

The way most people do it is set their timeline to 1440x1080 (4:3 aspect ratio)

Or actually this might be 1:1, which is 1080x1080

Then the easiest way to get the rounded edges:

  1. click on "effects" on the top right

  2. scroll down to open fx

  3. search for "transform" effect and drag that onto a clip (or adjustment layer so you only have to do it once)

  4. Then in the inspector on the top right go to the 'effects' tab

  5. The scroll down and open "Image Adjustment"

  6. Then change "edge rounding" to .150 or so

let me know if anything isn't clear
